Hologram Opera welcomes to the artist roster, the legacy of Garek J Druss [February 28, 1980 - February 17, 2025]. @garekdruss

We are honored to support @annatelcs (Garek’s beloved) and family in helping preserve and share his incredible catalog of art and music - of which all proceeds will go directly to continued releases and to his love, Anna and their son Aven.

Made available today includes one of Garek’s latest works DEEP JOY, a beautiful chapbook and very limited signed posters featuring illustrations of visions and manifestations during breath work sessions. Along with his TERRA+AETHER bandanas and INTUITION lapel pins.

Garek’s solo records are still available through @debaclerecords as well! Including vinyl editions for OHR EYN SOF - Youth Eternal and Soft Fascination (highly recommended). You can find those on Debacle Record’s Bandcamp.

In the future and working with his family, we will be releasing more prints and music from Garek’s vast catalog of work. We are humbled to have Garek a part of Hologram Opera. Always missed, and always keeping the flame ablaze.

A NOTE FROM SALO:

Working with Garek was one of the greatest joys in my life. I felt so blessed to be creating music with him. We had initially collaborated on a @saintgenet show over a decade ago (as well as Anna working on costumes!). I was immediately drawn to his kindness, his perspective of life, and his thoughtfulness and attention he gave to everyone - truly the genuine article.

Garek invited me to his project A Story of Rats and from very early on I could see his devotion and intention in his artistry and beyond. It was inspiring to be better and put that same intent behind everything in life, not just our art.

DRONEBATH is proud to announce a collaboration with The Broad Museum for their two day performance series titled Props for Memory in conversation with their collection exhibition ‘Joseph Beuys: In Defense of Nature’. This two-day series invites an unexpected cross-section of local musicians, poets, performers, fitness instructors, spiritual practitioners, and more, to examine the tenets of Beuys’s artistic practice and interpret them in relation to their own work.

February 22nd and 23rd 1-4pm

DRONEBATH is an electronic sound bath series featuring 3 hours of uninterrupted low frequency to facilitate a restful journey. Our lineup of dark ambient and electronic artists for this special Broad iteration will include @dinnerplatesofperfection, @jonat8han, @voltagectrlr, @ianewellman for Saturday February 22nd, and @white_boy_scream + @baseck, @harpistemology, @the_sound_sculptress, @theeasylove for Sunday February 23rd. Curated by Halston Bruce and Garek Druss and taking place in the Oculus Hall.

A promise to bring you to a new portal through the state-of-the-art @mobius_acoustics Hi-Fi system. We encourage you to come prepared with anything you’d need to get comfortable.
