The Hostage fundraiser is underway!

All donations are directly funding toward the expenses we accrued during our production, and will help fund the post-production process of the short film, including editing, colour-grading, composing the music and sound mixing.

Unlike all-or-nothing fundraising platforms, ACF artists set a fundraising goal, but if it’s not met all donations are still taken into account. 100% of funds will reach us regardless if we hit our goal or not.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and supporters get the chance to make a real difference to the work of Australian artists.

All donators will be mentioned in a “special thanks” on our instagram page, and donations over $100 will be mentioned in our credits.

Funding Rewards are available! See our next post for details.

Rewards and prizes to follow!!! Stay tuned.

We’ve added some fundraiser rewards to the campaign.

If you haven’t already, please consider donating - all funds over $2 are tax-deductible and will go toward our production expenses and will fund our post-production pipeline! There’s still a tonne of work to be done. And with your support we can get it over the line!

Thanks to all our donators so far! taken in Perth, Western Australia by @gareth_weston

We’re excited to announce that the Australian Cultural Fund will be hosting our production and post-production fundraiser for HOSTAGE.

The Australian Cultural Fund is a fundraising platform for Australian artists. It is operated by Creative Australia and was established by the Australian Government in 2003 to encourage donations to the arts.

Unlike all-or-nothing fundraising platforms, ACF artists set a fundraising goal, but if it’s not met all donations are still taken into account.

Donations are tax deductible, and supporters get the chance to make a real difference to the work of Australian artists.

All donations will go toward reimbursing expenses accrued during production and will help fund the post-production process of the short movie.

We’re beyond excited to be fundraising with the ACF, and to be contributing to Australian Culture! Link is in our bio!

“HOSTAGE” Short Film. THAT’S A WRAP. 🎬

What a ride.

We’re really stoked to have been part of @hostage_short, working alongside Director Ryan Cartlidge and Producer Gareth Weston, and an incredible crew who brought it all together.

Long days, plenty of moving parts, and a whole lot of work behind the scenes, but that’s what makes it worth it.

Proud of what we made.
Can’t wait for you to see it.

That’s a wrap. 🔒🎥

BEFORE THE MOON FALLS

Riley drifts through a crumbling city on the edge of collapse. She’s not a rebel or a hero, just someone searching for meaning in the final hours of a place she once called home.

Hey friends. Here’s some cool and fun moments from the last few months! by @gareth_weston

Some BTS from working dailies on "ostracized puppy." IYKYK. This week I've finally had some time to rest and reflect on everything that's happened lately.

November has been the craziest month for me. If you've seen me at work you've probably known that my schedule was insane; in random locations all across WA. It's been stressful, but I won't lie, I loved every second of it.

I'm very grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way as of late. Thanks to all the friends who've been along for the crazy ride too, it's made it all that much more enjoyable. 😜 taken in York, Western Australia by @gareth_weston

In late January I had the opportunity to shoot a music video for @mayd_music's debut single: "Live by the Coast." Shot on FX3 with Zeiss CP.3's.

The song premieres on her YouTube channel today at 5:30pm.

This is a passion project I had a blast working on, and was a fun little departure from my regular AC work. This was my first time shooting and directing a music video, and the first time I have directed in a long while, too.

If you have the time, please go follow @mayd_music and support her on her musical journey. She's already working on the next few songs!

Here are some of my favourite moments from 2022.

1. Fantastic View from Pinjarra on Lies Within Us
2. One of my favourite builds at @raz_rentals
3. Christian Kennedy viewing the Kennedy Ranges
4. Admiring the view
5. Sunset from Fremantle on my final day on The Claremont Murders TV Series
6. Focus Pulling with an iconic Eagles player 👀
7. The Re Store Docu Crew looking 🔥
8. Showreels for WAAPA with sick cars
9. One of the coolest music videos I've worked on
10. My most emotional moment finishing my first indie feature as a focus puller.

2022 was a fantastic year for me. I had opportunities galore, and I learn a lot about myself, while meeting some amazing people along the way.

It wasn't always sunshine and rainbows, but I persevered when times were tough, and came out stronger.

Thanks to everyone I've met along the way, I hope to see more of you all in the year to come. taken in Perth, Western Australia by @gareth_weston

Here's my photo dump from the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction in WA. Its been both a tough and fun shoot shooting with @christiankennedyboy

Best part was the scenery and seeing the stars at night. Definitely worth a trip if you're looking for an escape!
