I have a usual “normal” family until I started going deeper into my own patterns & started introspecting, when I realised not everything that I own as my identity is actually mine. It’s conditionings & patterns passed down from generation.
Not everyone will get it, coz it’s so subtle that when you try to speak about it, it sounds absurd to even your own ears. But it’s not, you for some random reason had to see this bubble that everything or everyone is in & you can’t go back inside of that bubble.
The subtle gesture of trying to control you or trying to make it their thing, the silent treatment, the blame game, the non-accountability, it gets to you at some point, you can’t unsee it once you see it.
Trying to talk it out would only mean that you are rapturing their entire identity & clearly they can’t take it…and you realise it’s not your part to do so, you can only do so much with yourself…which might also mean to walk away from it, no matter how much it hurts.

“WHAT DO YOU DO?”
As easy as the question is, ironically it has been quite difficult for me to answer that! To start with I have never been able to identify myself as my job role, that’s not me…
I mean, I blend my own teas, I paint, sleep with my cat & play with my dog… I capture moments & things & sometimes myself, I cook in wood fire & forage wild mushrooms, I make a room look pretty, & a garden - zen, I grow chillies, tomatoes & passion fruits, & make syrups & jams out of them, I watch the sun set & the moon rise, climb hills & mountains, & swim in ice cold rivers. I dance & sing on occasions, I read people & their eyes, I daydream, hug people a bit longer & laugh quite loud, I cry watching a movie, I count shooting stars till my neck pains, & love till the heart aches…

To go deeper with the question, it’s a tool to measure our socioeconomic status in the society , the “hierarchy” which we can be placed in, the ‘labels’ we can be tagged with, to access our status/class/value within the community.
And I refuse to be give in to any of it. I am not my job role, just a conscious being experiencing itself…
