Happiest when she’s an island girl 🏝️ by @gargiswami
‘The #DesignDiscoveryClub session by Gargi Swami @gargiswami, founder of the bespoke furniture design brand @arck.design and an actor, explored how acting and design can influence and strengthen one another. Gargi shared how everyday experiences shape her thinking across both disciplines and become a source of creative expression. "An interesting takeaway was the role of stepping back in the #creativeprocess. She discussed how stress does not necessarily change an outcome and how allowing oneself space can often lead to greater clarity. This closely connects with the 'incubation' stage of creative thinking, where ideas develop when they are given time rather than being forced. Through personal experiences and insights from her career, Gargi demonstrated how multiple creative practices can coexist, inform one another, and contribute to a distinctive way of thinking and working. The session offered a thoughtful perspective on building a #multidisciplinary creative practice while remaining open to the influence of lived experiences." – Nirmohi Chendke @nirmohic.arts, Year 1 DDC is managed by Sharvari Tambat @sharbat.labs, Rabinder Singh Johar, and Yashasvi Saini. #BITSDesignSchool #DesignEducation by @gargiswami
