Eight things to know about me 🤍

Writing isn’t just something I do…it’s who I am. If I’m not working, I’m creating. If I’m not creating, I’m thinking about creating.

My dog is my actual child. He has his own Instagram and, honestly, runs my schedule. I just live here. 🐾

Depeche Mode is the greatest band to ever exist. I will not be debating this. Ever.

I’m a volunteer board member and truly love helping others grow and succeed.

Brunch > late nights. Give me coffee, good conversation, and daylight.

I love animals and secretly (not secretly) want to live on a ranch one day, write full-time, and take care of them forever.

I’m building my writing and publishing career step by step and I’d love for you to come along for the ride.

And of course my peeps mean everything 😊

This is more than a hobby. It’s a calling. And I’m just getting started. ✨

If you’re here for the books, the journey, the chaos, and the creativity…welcome. 🤍

Happy Halloween 👻

When I began building Willow Creek, I knew one mystery would not be enough to uncover everything this town and its residents were hiding. Each novella contains its own case, but the characters, relationships, and community continue to grow as Emma Callahan becomes more deeply connected to the hometown she once left behind.

The Last Sunset at Willow Creek and The Silent Woods of Willow Creek are available now, which means two of the five planned mysteries are officially out in the world. I am continuing to work on Books Three, Four, and Five, with the goal of completing the entire Willow Creek Series by February 2027.

If you have not entered Willow Creek yet, now is the perfect time to begin with Book One and continue into Book Two. You can find both through the link in my bio, and you can join my newsletter to receive the first updates as the final three books move from ideas and notes into finished stories.

Social media is where I share pieces of my writing life, but my newsletter is where my readers receive the real behind-the-scenes updates first.

Books One and Two of the Willow Creek Series are already available, and I am continuing to build the town, its characters, and the new mysteries that will unfold in Books Three, Four, and Five. Newsletter readers will be the first to hear about upcoming titles, cover reveals, release dates, story details, and the progress I am making as I work toward completing the five-book series.

I will also share occasional updates about my full-length novel planned for fall 2027, along with my short stories and the realities of building a writing career one project at a time. If you enjoy small-town suspense, cozy reads, hidden secrets, and following a book from the writing stage to publication, I would love to have you in this community.

Join through the link in my bio, or DM me the word NEWSLETTER and I will send the link directly to you.

October has my whole heart. 🍂 Pumpkin patches, small-town fall festivals, cozy layers, a good book, and just enough mystery to keep things interesting. Basically, if October were a book, I’d never want it to end. 🎃📚

One of the things I love most about writing small-town mysteries is that the danger does not always come from a stranger passing through. Sometimes it comes from the person pouring your coffee, the neighbor who knows everyone’s routine, or the familiar face who becomes strangely quiet when someone asks the wrong question.

That is the world Emma Callahan steps into when she returns to Willow Creek. In The Last Sunset at Willow Creek and The Silent Woods of Willow Creek, she discovers that solving a case is not only about finding evidence. It is also about separating the people who are frightened from the people who have something to hide.

If you lived in a town where everyone knew something but no one wanted to talk, would you investigate or decide it was none of your business? Tell me in the comments, then visit the links in my bio to begin the Willow Creek Series and join my newsletter for first access to upcoming book news and behind-the-scenes updates.

I think my favorite stories are the ones that make you feel comfortable enough to settle in… and then quietly make you wonder what the hell is really going on.

Give me a charming little town.

Give me two people who probably shouldn’t fall for each other.

Give me a family with a complicated history.

Give me a dog who somehow becomes one of the most important characters.

And then give me a secret nobody saw coming.

That’s my kind of story.

Going through pictures of my dog’s modeling days and I found one of my absolute favorites, him giving me all the kisses. 🐶❤️

A little reminder to slow down, appreciate the little moments, and enjoy the love right in front of you.

Every mystery has a beginning, and the secrets of Willow Creek begin with a body discovered near the creek at sunset.

In The Last Sunset at Willow Creek, reporter Emma Callahan returns to the hometown she left behind and becomes involved in a murder investigation connected to an older disappearance that Willow Creek never truly resolved. Emma may have come home expecting familiarity, but she quickly discovers that knowing a town is not the same as knowing what its people are capable of hiding.

Her story continues in The Silent Woods of Willow Creek, where another person disappears and the investigation leads Emma beyond the edge of town and into the surrounding woods. Both novellas contain a complete mystery, but the characters, relationships, and secrets of Willow Creek continue to develop across the series.

Begin with Book One, continue directly into Book Two, and join my newsletter if you would like to follow along as I work toward Books Three, Four, and Five. The books and newsletter are available through the links in my bio.
