After 2.5 years of being pretty quiet on here, I figured its about time I say something about where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing lately:

This past May I got home from the most amazing experience of my life, serving 2 full years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in southern Spain. No other experience in my life has convinced me more that Jesus Christ lives, that His church is on the earth today, and that He is gathering in those who will hear His voice as He speaks in this day and age.

It’s taking time to process my time as a missionary, and though I’ve filled journals with my feelings about it, my words still can’t paint the perfect picture of what it was like and the impact it’s had on me.

It seems to me that in a short 2.5 years, the world has become exponentially more chaotic and confusing. My own life plans and goals have also shifted and continue to change on a daily basis. But the truly important and unchanging things of life have become quite clear to me thanks to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and it is there that I go for peace. There is no greater peace than to know who you are, why you are here, what you are here to do, and where you are headed when you leave here.

The mission wasn’t easy, and life hasn’t been easy since getting home either, but gaining that knowledge for myself in those 2 years has made and continues to make all the difference. I love the Savior, and I love the people of Spain. taken in Madrid,Spain by @garrett.eldredge
