A week of hard-fought matches for the Lady Lakers! ⚓🏐 ️

Garrett College Volleyball picked up a 3-1 victory over rival Allegany College of Maryland before battling through a competitive Saturday tri-match against College of Southern Maryland and Frederick.

Against ACM, Kyla Gilbert and Mia Barrios each recorded 12 kills as the Lady Lakers rallied from a 10-1 fourth-set deficit to secure the win.

Garrett then pushed CSM to five sets, fighting off five match points in the fourth before falling 3-2. Barrios led with 12 kills, while Gilbert added 11 kills and 25 digs. The Lady Lakers also battled Frederick in a three-set setback.

“There were moments in that match where we played the best we've played all year,” said head coach Beth Campbell.
