3 for 3 finishing the Big Bear Run. First time not leaving any parts on the trail 🤪 The Lavender Lady asked for next weekend off. I said ok and didn't mention its holiday weekend 💜

Found half of an old horseshoe on Pontiac Hill aka Heartbreak Ridge. Carried it home for good luck by @garrryc

Mission accomplished. Thanks to @kauai_guy for the pit support! @wlfenduro for years of support. @tbtracing for the dialed suspension set up and especially @bigbear_trailriders and all the volunteers for hosting another great event.

118 "Hard Way" starters, 36ish finishers and this 51 year old finished 12th.

Brutal 200 mile course this year with 2 nasty hills that took a lot of time from me but thats not the point. Its test of grit and having the "I do not quit, I commit" attitude!

Congrats to those that stuck out it out and earned the plaque.

I left the house this morning knowing I was forgetting something. Didn't clock enough time staring at my bike this week. Turns out, Instead of taking a PAIR of riding socks, I had one riding sock and one PAIR of boys gym shorts. I love playing jokes on myself like that. Set out to do 180 miles today. At mile 75 I was feeling great. Stopped to open a gate and down some supplements and noticed I no longer had a bolt holding my front sprocket on... this is worse than raw dogging a goretex moto boot... ride over. Limped in to Big Bear and found a temp bolt. Rode the f*ckimg highway all the way back down to my van at Miller Cyn. I did spend 4 hours nailing my target average speed so thats good.

I put 160 miles on the Lavender Lady today. The @tacomoto.co GET ECU improved MPGs from 29 to 35. I can't believe what a difference it made and that I settled for poor performance over the last 2 years... . Same trails I've been running the last 2 months.... Huge gains. This could also be because I've off gassed 27 pounds of fat the last 3 months. Either way, I'm stoked. Kind of boring riding solo but not many of my riding buddies want to hit this kind of mileage. See you in June @bigbear_trailriders by @garrryc
