WHERE NEXT? ✈🏾☀️✨

Son, Rise, Son, Shine is leaving the page and hitting the road.

I’m taking the story of faith, family, healing, self-worth, and finding the light within into new rooms, new cities, and new communities.

More conversations.
More communities.
More impact.

And I have a feeling… this is only the beginning. I’ll be in a city near you!

AVAILABLE NOW. ☀️✨

After years of writing, reflecting, remembering, healing, and believing… Son, Rise, Son, Shine: A Journey of Faith, Family, and Finding the Light Within is officially available.

This book is deeply personal—but it was never meant to be mine alone.

SRSS is about faith and doubt. Family and identity. Stigma and self-worth. The people and places that shape us. And the courage it takes to find our way back to the light.

I wrote this book in the hope that someone might see themselves in these pages, feel a little less alone, ask a deeper question, or find the courage to rise and shine in their own life.

Today, I’m grateful to finally share it with you.

Son, Rise, Son, Shine is AVAILABLE NOW.

Get your copy: www.geraldgarth.com

And if you’ve been following this journey, sharing the announcements, encouraging me, praying for me, or simply cheering me on—thank you. Your support means more than I can say.

Here’s to rising.
Here’s to shining.
Here’s to finding the light within.

🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL! SON, RISE, SON, SHINE IS OUT NOW! ☀️📚🙌🏾

Today, I get to release more than a book. I get to release my story.

From the shadows of struggle and survival to faith, family, identity, healing, purpose and learning to stand fully in who I am, these pages hold pieces of a lifetime.

But this story isn’t only about me. It’s for anyone who has ever been told they were too much, not enough or needed to become smaller to belong.

You were never meant to shrink your light.

📖 "Son, Rise, Son, Shine" is AVAILABLE NOW. Get your copy, read the story, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that they deserve to rise and shine too. ☀️

TOMORROW. ☀️📖

After the writing, remembering, questioning, healing and becoming, "Son, Rise, Son, Shine" releases tomorrow.

I didn’t write this book because I have everything figured out. I wrote it while still healing, still growing and still discovering what it means to live fully in my light.

Tomorrow, I release a story that once lived only inside of me.

My hope is that it gives someone else permission to rise into themselves too.

SEPTEMBER 15, 2026. ☀️📚

"TOMORROW "☀️📚

Soon, Son, Rise, Son, Shine will leave my hands and make its way into yours.

Inside these pages are stories about family, faith, identity, chosen family, leadership, healing and learning that softness can be strength.

Most importantly, it’s a reminder that becoming whole doesn’t require becoming someone new. Sometimes it means returning to the person you were before the world taught you to shrink.

September 15th. Are you ready? 📖☀️

☀️ THE PROCESS IS THE PROGRESS.

Today in church, my pastor spoke those words, and they hit differently with September 15th just two days away.

Son, Rise, Son, Shine didn’t happen overnight. Every lesson, every challenge, every moment of faith, healing and becoming was part of the process. And now I understand that the process itself was preparing me for this moment.

We’re almost there. September 15th. 📖☀️ Are you ready?

☀️ Sometimes you have to stop and acknowledge just how far you’ve come.

Being featured by @voyagelamag is one of those moments for me. My journey has been filled with faith, family, growth, purpose, healing and learning how to fully stand in who I am.

Every chapter hasn’t been easy, but every chapter has helped shape the man I am today. That same journey lives within the pages of Son, Rise, Son, Shine.

As I prepare for the release of my book on September 15th, I’m grateful for opportunities like this to share more of my story and introduce you to the person behind the pages.

Thank you @voyagelamag for sharing my journey, and thank you to everyone who continues to walk alongside me. I’m still rising. I’m still becoming. And I’m still learning to let my light shine. ☀️📖

Sometimes you have to look in the mirror and recognize just how far you’ve come. 🪞☀️

From the little boy searching for his place in the world to the man standing confidently in his purpose, every part of that journey lives inside Son, Rise, Son, Shine.

Getting ready for this photoshoot wasn’t just about taking pictures for a book. It was about capturing the man behind the pages, the growth, the healing, the faith and the courage it took to tell his story.

Now the story is ready to be seen. 📖☀️

From an idea to words on a page to finally holding the finished book in my hands. ☀️📖✨

“Son, Rise, Son, Shine” carries a journey from Baton Rouge to leadership, advocacy, ministry and purpose, but the heart of this story isn’t about titles or accomplishments.

It’s about reconciliation. It’s about becoming whole. It’s about looking at every version of yourself and realizing they all deserve to be seen.

September 15th, the story becomes yours to read.
