@thirdchampionproductions and @openbookproductions are thrilled to announce our upcoming production: CONSOLiDARITY: The Series

CONSOLiDARITY
Filming later this summer, this satirical teen drama chronicles the school days of Kennedy Washington and her friends as their schools are consolidated, due to low funding. Following initiation into the school’s number one clique — I mean, club, she thought it was smooth sailing until graduation. But with the return of her scorned ex-best friend, Kennedy will learn that power and status are not worth treachery against your community.

Just like in our story, our team consists of passionate filmmakers across two production companies coming together in solidarity to magic.

THIRD CHAMPION PRODUCTIONS
Third Champion Productions is a sibling led company dedicated to telling genuine stories from a wide variety of perspectives. Quirky and absurd comedy, compelling, wholesome stories told by diverse voices. Gary Champion and Normeaka Champion have produced a thirty episode comedic Web series titled “Riverview Confessionals”, rom-com short film “DELTA”, and CONSOLiDARITY, a proof of concept short which can be viewed on YouTube.

OPEN BOOK PRODUCTIONS
Open Book Productions is committed to uplifting inclusivity and female empowerment in film. Led entirely by black women, Salena Michelle Alston , K.b. Mobley and Joie J Noire Davis are breaking barriers and shaping narratives from diverse perspectives; collaborating with industry professionals on numerous projects. They’ve produced three short films: comedy short “Featured,” drama short “Rachel’s Choice” and thriller short “Psych Ward.” They also assisted in the production of DELTA and CONSOLiDARITY.

This year I finally decided to embark on my filmmaking journey. I’ve been a writer and an actor for many years, and I have now dawned my director’s cap. These are some BTS photos from the set of our short film “DELTA.” So far I am loving the journey with all it’s rewards and challenges. I have a spectacular and talented team along with me (which certainly helps) and the trifecta of God, Gary and Grace (by all its definitions). I am super grateful for this experience. Remember that “joy is in the journey” (as @amermariewoods once said). More to come. by @garychampioniii

Bringing Laughter to others brings me joy. Thank you to my people for supporting me on this new journey. Love y’all🥰 #atlantacomedytheater by @garychampioniii
