Can someone hand me my soapbox?

It’s been hard to put into words how I feel about Union Cup 2025. Don’t get me wrong, I feel over the moon that we won, ecstatic, elated, all of the positive feelings. However, it also felt like the only option; the team had put everything they could’ve to prepare both physically and mentally for it. The club had put in place the relevant coaching, medical, support, and growth opportunities to enable the team to do their job, play good rugby.

I will never forget the memories I’ve made with the team. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to be @grame_f ‘s Vice Captain! Lucky enough to try out a number of different positions and officially breaking into that versatile category, after joining the pack for a few matches. These lads are a very important core memory to me ❤️

This year marks the 22nd year of the @emeraldwarriors and it’s been 22 years in the making of this team, those that have paved the way before us, those who missed tackles, missed kicks, missed out on silverware, those who learned the hard way (ourselves included) so that we could take home the Union Cup (or a stand-in) for the club.

Rugby mascots were banned at the Bingham Cup lgbtq+ gay rugby tournament in Brisbane, Australia. We sat down with Dublin, Ireland’s inclusive LGBTQ+ Rugby club The Emerald Warriors to talk about the tradition, its place in rugby culture, and what happened with police.

A few weeks ago, my time at Indeed came to an end due to redundancies. While leaving a great team under these circumstances is challenging, I reflect on the past six years with pride. I had the opportunity to open offices in EMEA, APAC, and AMER shortly after starting, utilise occupancy data to analyse employee flow in our spaces, and lead the LGBTQ+ employee resource group in EMEA for three years. My work at the intersection of Workplace and Data allowed me to tell the stories behind the numbers, ensuring our spaces were fit for all.

I am now seeking my next role, Remotely, in Dublin or in Europe, specifically looking for opportunities that encompass:
🔹 Workplace Strategy & Corporate Real Estate: Managing spaces that work for people and the business.
🔹 Project Management: Leading complex projects from start to finish.
🔹 Inclusion & DEIB: Embedding diversity into the fabric of the workplace.

To my former colleagues, thank you for the support and the memorable moments over the years. It was a pleasure working with all of you.

If you are aware of any suitable roles or would like to catch up over coffee, I would be happy to connect.

Getting the opportunity to do a Hyrox Pro Doubles with my brother @dangaughan90 was pretty special if I do say so myself. 10 weeks since we did a simulation at regular weights, we upped the weight and shaved 2 minutes off our time but the most important thing, we didn’t kill each other and actually enjoyed ourselves ❤️

No special hyrox training programmes, just showing up on a daily basis with @amyflynn_x @lawlorwithano @bua_santry and showing up to training and matches with @mr_x_1967 @emeraldwarriors
