@tracerbmx1 and I had decided about a month ago that we were going to go to the @frogtownclassicbmxdays Sep 9-11-2022. I had a pretty good idea of what I was in for but man it was so much better. After driving 9 1/2 hours and sleeping in the cab of the truck we pulled up to the entrance. I felt like I was witnessing I seen from a 1978 BMX race at Corona downhill. The biggest name pros, the retro bikes and A dusty, muddy, bumpy long downhill BMX track with flat turns and a water jump straight from the past. Because I was riding on the coattails of BMX Hall of Fame legend Tracer Finn I was enjoying the VIP treatment along with golf and tacos with the BMX Hall of Fame Patterson brothers. Each with a #1 Pro Title. I signed up for two classes. The pre 1976 on a 74 Royce Union. I ended up winning at 51 and over expert modern class only because Shawn @swifty381 O’gorman didn’t show up for the Main. 🤷‍♂️ such a good time looking forward to next year. by @garylaurent
