Congrats to the Hoppers on winning the northern division of the South Atlantic League!

If you weren’t keeping up with local ball this week, the Hoppers gave a masterclass on how to rally. After a loss at home on Tuesday, the Hoppers went on the road for back to back wins to defeat the Frederick Keys in the divisional series.

And now? It’s the battle of I-40 for the league championship.

That’s right…Greensboro Grasshoppers vs Winston-Salem Dash

This will be a historic best of three game series between the two Triad rivals. Winner takes all!

First game is Sunday, Sept 13 at 2 PM at Truist Stadium in Winston. Then final two games are Tuesday, Sept 15 and Wednesday, Sept 16 at 6:30 PM at First National aka home.

Say hi to Lucas!

He’s not your GSO neighbor yet as he’s still in the best care at Duke Hospital. Been here since he was born 65 days ago.

No telling when he’ll leave either. It’s complicated. To say the very least.

Progress is forward then backward. Backward then forward. Little signs of homeward.

Soaking up these moments with him in Durham and counting all the wins along the way.

And hoping we’ll all be Greensboro bound soon so Lucas can know there’s no place like home. 💚

Ruckus Climbing Gym announced it will permanently close its doors on August 31.

Owners said they had no choice, but to shut down as they were not able to find a new business buyer.

Tough loss for the local climbing community who loved this special third place off High Point Road.
