Hello all you Greasy Gators! Now that the first week of classes is out of the way, its time for our Semester Kickoff. Our starting location will be the parking lot on Lake Merced at the intersection of Lake Merced Blvd and Sunset Blvd, chill as we all gather up, then head down to Montara to catch the last of the summer sunsets! Be aware, our cruise destination is subject to change dependent on weather and attendance. As per, Respect the Spot please. We are here to grow and uplift the car community, so common sense does apply. Invite your friends, or just let them tag along with! We’ve got a lot of things in the works for you guys, and we wanna come out swinging! See you all soon! 📷: @hudson.moss by @gator.greasers

Gator Greasers, San Francisco State University’s automotive club, graced the parkway in front of the Humanities Building today with a colorful array of members’ vehicles.  From a modded 2014 Subaru BRZ all the way back to a restored 1972 Datsun 240Z, the club showcased the finest range of Gator Greasers’ automobiles. Photographers snapped photos from every angle as they came to ogle the pristine cars.  Evan Galvan, a second-year broadcast and electronic communication arts student and the club’s creative media officer, was among the crouching admirers. Galvan hoped the event would put Gator Greasers on the map for potential members.  “It’s to let everybody know we’re here,” Galvan said. “We’re a car club that enjoys people seeing our cars, chatting with us and hanging out.” Michael Thompson, a fourth-year computer science student, idled shyly on the sideline as the event slowly ramped up. As students rolled in for their morning classes, they couldn’t help but admire Thompson’s rust orange 1972 Datsun 240Z. 🔗 Read the full story and see the full photos at the link in bio ✍️: Ozzy Palacio (@animalcrackerwhore) 📸: Lindsey Hoang (@0lindseys0) #sfsu #sfstate #gatorgreasers #carclub by @gator.greasers

EVENT DETAILS CHANGES DUE TO POOR WEATHER‼️ We’re sorry to announce changes so late, but due to high winds on the beach today we have to cancel the bonfire portion of the event. The car meet will still be hosted in the same location but is extended to 4:00 - 6:00PM. After the car meet, we will head to raising canes in Colma to sit together and get some food. The car meet will be open to both clubs and we encourage members to still come out and socialize:) Again, we sincerely apologize for the confusion and lack of paying attention to wind prior to today. Schedule: 4:00- Meet at USS San Francisco Memorial parking lot and hangout and socialize until 6. 6:00- leave USS lot, and cruise to Raising Canes (123 Colma Blvd) by @gator.greasers
