- Somewhere Between Us - Along the edge of a city.. that never seems to slow down, people find their own little moments.. Some come to be seen.. some to remember, and some simply to be somewhere else .. for a while. The sea remains the same for everyone... Yet, somehow, we all take something different away from it. #fujifilm #streetlife #marinedrive #narimanpoint #mumbaistreets by @gaurav_patharkar

WHERE THE RIVER MEETS EVERYDAY LIFE Some mornings begin long before the rest of the city wakes up. Along the old stone steps of the ghats, life follows a rhythm of its own. Clothes are washed, baths are taken, conversations begin, and another day quietly finds its way into the lives of those who gather by the river. For some, the river is a place of faith. For others, it’s simply part of everyday life. A place to rest, to meet familiar faces, to wash off the worries and to carry on. I spent that morning watching these little moments unfold, realising how much of life happens without anyone really noticing. The river must have witnessed generations of such mornings. Different faces, different stories, yet so much remains familiar. Perhaps some of the oldest stories are not written in books or carved in stone. They simply continue, quietly, along the banks of a river. Archives from 2021 - Shot in a Fujj X100T #ghats #dehu #mornings #river #streetphotography by @gaurav_patharkar
Rains in My City 🌧️ Early mornings when Pune is still waking up, the streets are quieter, and the rain has washed away some of the usual hurry. I think it’s the petrichor that draws me out in the first place. But once I’m walking, it’s everything else that makes me stay. I’ve lived with these streets for years, yet the monsoon always gives me another reason to wander through them. The rains don’t really change the places I know. They simply remind me why I fell in love with them in the first place. Archives from 2024. #olympus #streetphotography #punecity #monsoondiaries #rain by @gaurav_patharkar
- Not of a famous monument or an extraordinary event. They’re glimpses of a city that has been adapting, working, and carrying on for generations. Light and shadows quietly share the same streets, revealing some stories while leaving others untold. Lives Between the Tides Between every tide that leaves and returns, there is a life that quietly carries on. Measured not by the passing of time, but by the rhythm of the sea. - another one from the archives - shot in 2018 #streetphotography #streetdocumentary #omdem5markⅱ #fishermen boat by @gaurav_patharkar

Ten years ago, when I was still finding my way with a camera, I spent some time wandering through Mandai. I photographed doors, shops, strangers, quiet corners and people simply going about their day. At the time, they were just photographs. A decade later, they feel like something else. The people may have moved on. The shops may have changed. The city certainly has. But somewhere inside these frames, that moment still exists exactly as it was. Perhaps this is what photography really gives us — not a way to stop time, but a way to return to it. Mandai, Pune — photographed around a decade ago. by @gaurav_patharkar
