POSTS STORIES REELS

Ruminations on World Book Day.

I was maybe five years old when my maternal grandfather gifted me a copy of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. It was the beginning of a lifelong love for books and stories.

I grew up a voracious reader - to the point of being punished by teachers for sneakily reading books in class. In boarding school, where I studied for five years, we'd get a library book every week. Within the first month, I'd identified the boys who didn't like to read and let the book lie in their bag for an entire week. I then worked out a system where I'd finish my own book in a day and then borrow theirs for the next six days.

By the time I was in college, I was no longer content reading stories. I wanted to tell them too. I wrote my very first short story when I was in my First Year of BMM, and submitted it to the campus newspaper. The response was so overwhelming that I started contributing regularly and went on to become managing editor of the newspaper.

My first novel, Interestions (https://lnkd.in/gxRu-5Se) was a milestone in a journey that began when I was a child. It was published in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. But still, there were people who took the effort to buy it, read it and reach out to me with their feedback.

Dear Neeti (https://amzn.in/d/aF43Mie) is a novella I published in 2023 because it is among my best creations yet and I felt it deserved a better place than one corner of my hard drive.

What next? Well, many, many more. I'm just getting started. by @gautamdecoded

Do watch the interaction firstly to laud her courage and presence of mind, and secondly to take lessons from her.
A big thank you to Smita and everyone who tuned in.

Hundreds of supermarket freezers were heated up overnight, and the people behind it never touched a single one.

My views on the recent data breaches featured by @indiatodaymagazine in their upcoming issue. Do pick up your copy and read the full article. Data breaches cost more than just money and we need to view them with utmost seriousness.

Your next hire could be a hacker with a very good CV.
I've been following laptop farms, where hackers get hired for remote jobs, receive the company laptop, and work it from another country. The FBI shut down 40 of them in Texas this month, and at least 70 companies had hackers on their rosters.
Swipe through for how it works and why it matters, even if you never touch IT.
Do you know how your company verifies remote hires? Tell me in the comments.
Save this and send it to your HR or hiring team.

Had a quick work trip to Pune and lunched at Rassa Handi in Hinjewadi, known for non vegetarian cuisine made on the traditional chulha. Pigged out on their Special Mutton Thali, which has Alani (mutton broth), mutton curry, mutton masala, kheema and a boiled egg. Do not miss this one of you're in Hinjewadi.
