This Sunday, April 12th! Really stoked to be playing at @sunlandsunspace for the first time, playing a set of music with @jas0_pes0 @graeham.guerin and @gav.drums. Really excited to hear @g.wingfield_ @millerwrenn & Clint Dodson as well, planning some combined improv mega group shenanigans after both of our sets. Doors at 7 pm, $10 all ages. See you there!

Hey!!! I’ll be presenting my CalArts(@calartsjazz )Mid-Res recital next week on March 4th at 8pm! Super excited to play a full set of original music with these extremely talented individuals! It would be cool to see some familiar faces as well. Please let me know if you need any help with getting to CalArts if you haven’t already been there!

Feeling very fortunate to be able to share another set of music at The Green Room @grnroommusic on July 24th! Jason, Kai, Dario and I will be playing a mostly improvised set of music with some originals in the mix. Joining us will be the newly established band, Carrie Kelly. They have really been blowing my mind with how beautiful their music is! Will be great to see some familiar faces!!

Solo from the gig at @grnroommusic with @brandenbrownmusic ‘s band! This is over the tune “Rites” by Julius Hemphill. Motivic development has been a big focus of mine during my practicing and this solo represents part of how I’ve been practicing it. #jazz #drums #jazzdrums #avantgarde #charlesives #free #freejazz by @gav.drums
