SOPHOMORE YEAR!! … What a CRAZY year it has been, y’all… If you would’ve told me a year ago that not only would I be living in a cottage, but ALSO switching my major to Biology with a Chemistry minor, I would’ve told you you were crazy. This year has been one of the best and one of the hardest years of my life. This year I learned what it’s like to have a deep, consistent relationship with God, and this year I also learned that God doesn’t mess around 💀. Every time someone asks me what this year has meant to me, I always say it’s been a year of change. At the beginning of the year, I asked God to prune my life of anything that didn’t serve Him or me anymore… and BOY DID HE. What’s hard in the moment, God always turns into something good. He loves us so much that sometimes He lets us hurt so we can grow into the person He’s calling us to be. Along the way, I’ve made friendships I’ll carry with me through this next season, and I’m so thankful for the people who have walked with me through all the transition. A lot of this year was saying goodbye: to old habits, old mindsets, and old lifestyles. But I’ve learned that God’s plan is so much bigger than mine. He’s already shown me He has SO MUCH in store. All He asks is for complete obedience, to trust His plan, and to stop fighting so hard to hold onto the things He’s asking me to let go of. Anyways… I’m closing this chapter of my life and opening a brand new one, and I seriously can’t wait. ❤️🧬 2025–2026 by @gavcale

Freshman Year: This year has truly been a testament to God’s goodness—so many answered prayers. It was the year I really discovered who I am, not just as a person, but as a believer in Christ. I’ve found my identity, my purpose, and some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. I’ve found lifelong friends and a second family. I’m beyond grateful for everything and everyone, and I can’t wait to see what sophomore year holds. To those who made this year so special: I love you all. Thank you for pouring into my life the way you have—I’ll carry your love, encouragement, and support with me always. To my best friends: I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without you this year. Before I ever stepped foot on campus, I was already praying for the kind of friendships that would hold me up, challenge me, laugh with me, and walk through life with me—and God delivered more than I ever could’ve imagined. To two of you: thank you for taking me under your wing. You saw me, chose to invest in me, and have guided me in ways I never expected friends could. You’ve been mentors, encouragers, protectors, and examples of what true, Christ-like friendship looks like. I love yall! And to the other: you have been constant. You’ve been my safe place on the hardest days and my biggest cheerleader on the best ones. We’ve laughed a lot, you’ve sat with me in silence, and supported me through it all. You embody everything a true friend should be, and I thank God for you every day. I don’t know what life would look like without you in it—so don’t think you’re getting rid of me any time soon (seriously, good luck with that LOL). I love you! ✨ Honored doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about being part of this incredible production! My first Christmas Spectacular was nothing short of amazing. 🤍🎄 This year has been a whirlwind of blessings, and I’m beyond grateful for the second home I’ve found at the University of Mobile.
