“I’m the son of rage and love, the Jesus of Suburbia”

American Idiot 2026 ❤️🖤❤️

- Bangor Township Drama -

It’s been a dream of mine to do American Idiot since I started theatre, especially with the people in this cast. I suppose you could say it’s been a long time coming!

I’m very proud of the work I was able to put into the show, from my growth at singing, acting, and guitar-playing, to making all the videos that played on our 21 TVs for each song! This is truly a production that I’m incredibly grateful for, and it’s one I’ll never forget.

Of course, I always love the opportunity to work onstage with my lovely @violet.coonan, as well as some of my best friends, @johnthomasbreen, @xan__man18, @lissa.danks, and many others! This was a Johnny, Will, and Tunny trio that can’t be beat, and I couldn’t imagine the casting for this show being any different. Another huge thank you to everyone in the cast for doing this show the justice it deserves, especially @alena.rose.severson for the love she brought into her role and the production as a whole! This is such a fully-committed kind of piece, and everyone was up for the challenge.

Thank you American Idiot, and I love you all! 🫶 by @gavin.t.smith

“I’ve come so far, and I have no idea where I’m headed, which means now everything is in front of me.”

💛 The Coast Starlight 💛

I can’t believe my first show at Western Michigan University has already come to a close! This was such an incredible experience working with some of the most kind-hearted and talented people I’ve ever met. Learning to understudy a role while also making it my own was a fun challenge, and I can definitely say I’ve grown as an actor throughout these past few months. I love you all, and I can’t wait to see where I’m headed next! 💛🚂✨ taken in Western Michigan University by @gavin.t.smith

“It doesn’t always end as books would have it end. I’m a rabbit in a waist–coat, really. Running out of time in Wonderland.” ⏳

Alice by Heart, and theatre at John Glenn High School as a whole, was an experience I’ll never forget. I’ve wanted to play the role of Alfred ever since I discovered this musical existed last summer, so to be able to bring this character to life was so incredible. This show felt like the culmination of everything I’ve done at Glenn since I first auditioned last spring. Over the past year, I’ve gotten to meet so many new people who have helped me grown both as a person and as an actor. As I move on to study acting at the college level, these people and experiences are going to stick with me. I’d like to thank my family for always supporting me. My love, Violet Coonan, for everything you do. My friends, JT, Lissa, Xander, Peyton, and so many more that I wish I had the room to write. And I want to thank Jeanna, Kenz, and all the adults that helped shape me into the actor I’ve become. I’m truly forever grateful to have all these wonderful people in my life. 💛💛💛

“I can’t tell you what it’s meant, to come here once again—to run here once again. I hope you will remember how it was.” 🤍🤍🤍

🔥💛 ONE ACTS 2025 💛🏰

Spamalot placed 1st 🥇 at States & The Outsiders placed 2nd! 🥈 Both of these shows were so fun to be a part of. Playing Dallas Winston in The Outsiders was a dream role for me, and Sir Lancelot in Spamalot was wild. It was also awesome to receive Excellent Awards for Dallas and Music Curation for The Outsiders! 💪 I’ll never forget these two shows, and I’m so proud to be a part of such an amazing family with these casts. 💛 taken in Wayne State University by @gavin.t.smith
