For @theworldofinteriors, I photographed the home of a tapestry-weaver and former English teacher who has created a suite of richly layered rooms in the Australian capital, Canberra.

With Sibelius playing over some lovely vintage Quad speakers, we talked about Tanizaki and the local birdlife that visit the house. A perfect morning, really.

Late last year I had the immense pleasure of photographing the home and studio of the incredible Yvonne Audette for @nationalgalleryaus.

Yvonne is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most significant abstract expressionist painters, and at 94 is still exploring new territory in figuration and colour.

We discussed her decision to transform an unused swimming pool into her home studio, and she curiously peered into my camera offering advice (‘The light gets bad over there’) proving her eye is still as sharp as ever.
