I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be taking my next step and transferring to Mississippi State University! First off I give all glory to Jesus, the one who has given me this wonderful gift and has allowed me to chase my dreams. I’m beyond grateful to all the people that make up such a great support system behind me praying and helping me reach this decision! Thank you to Coach Smith and Coach Cornelius for the opportunity and I can’t wait for to get to work in Starkville this fall!

- Vision: The state of being able to see

If there was one thing that I took away from the beautiful country of Brazil, it is the significance of having vision from God in every situation! Proverbs 29:18 says “where there is no vision, the people perish…” This word sums up the entire week in one word because while it can be so vague and mean so much, it can also be so specific and mean only one thing. Throughout this week, whether we were taking time to reflect, pray for people, or worshiping our God, the vision of the moment we were in had not only been sought out and prayed for by us, but also had been in the heart and visions of God himself! When looking at vision in circumstances, it’s easy to think that it means we will always know what is to come next but the reality of vision is that when we are confused and don’t know what the vision of our circumstances should be, we are forced to put all our hope and faith in God and He will give us the vision that He has in store for us! This vision no matter what will always be so much better than anything that we could ever imagine and in this vision is where we are able to have intimate moments with our creator! in other words, seeking vision doesn’t mean telling God what you want and Him blessing that, oftentimes having Godly vision makes you say no to what YOU want and aligning your eyes to see what GOD wants for you in every moment! Being in a vulnerable place where you are outside of your comfort zone makes you have to rely on the Lord to keep your eyes on Him when it’s the easiest to try and take control of the situation on your own. Surrendering your own desires to get what God has for you lead to some of the most intimate and close moments He has in store for each and every one of us because you are literally saying no to your flesh and what it wants and saying yes to the more abundant things that God has in store for you! Overall, having the opportunity to step away from all distractions and truly put faith and trust in Jesus even when it was uncomfortable shows the true love that Jesus has for us by giving us a vision that we can take into every single moment of our lives no matter how big or small! taken in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil by @gavin_isbell7
