The end of an era. 5 years going to games, 3 with season tickets. I met so many players (legends and the future!) & made amazing friends in the Sun community. I went from barely knowing anything about basketball to screaming at my tv or the area on a weekly basis. Won court-side seats for free and lost my mind. Got to talk to journalists and commentators. Made a fool of myself getting too mad at refs. Saw my team in the finals and have one of the longest ever undefeated streaks. Cried when players left or were traded. Got obsessed with incredible new ones right after they were drafted. Recruited my friends like an insane evangelist. So much love forever for this team. Fuck you @wnba and Cathy Englebert and Adam Silver for forcing this team out of New England, a place that has rode hard for women’s basketball longer than anywhere. If you live near a WNBA team 1) go to games it’s an unreal experience 2) invite me to come visit as I begin my new era of visiting other stadiums. I’m so mad about this but I love these players and the game too much to ever stop being a fan. by @gay_pal
