There’s something about a sound that feels familiar. Sunsum Ndwom carries that nostalgic feeling, a reminder of the traditional Ghanaian sounds that shaped so much of our gospel music. Empress Gifty taps into that familiar sound and gives us something that feels both rooted and refreshing.

I genuinely don’t know what else to say about this rendition. The arrangement. The showmanship. The voices. The range. The musicality. Everything about this performance by The Blood Crew just blew my mind. I’ve heard different renditions of this song, but this one? This is easily one of the best I’ve heard. There’s something about the way they moved through the song, the different voices, the control, the energy, the musicianship, that made the whole thing feel bigger than just a choir performance.

At some point I was just watching like… wait, what is happening here? 😂 This is the kind of performance that makes you remember just how much talent we have here. International standard. The Blood Crew really did that.

I’m still honestly blown away by what I witnessed yesterday. These guys can SING!! Raw vocals. Live instruments. Every singer was on point. And the energy? They came with it from the beginning and somehow maintained that same energy throughout the entire program. There were so many moments I just stood there like… “Wait. These people are really this good live?”

And that’s what got me. Nothing was hiding behind a track or stems. You could hear the voices. You could hear the instruments. You could see the musicianship. And it was just GOOD. After watching them live, I can confidently say this: The Blood Crew is one of Ghana’s finest choirs.

10 years and still giving us this level of excellence. I have so many clips from yesterday, so yeah… I’m definitely taking you through this experience. 👀

There’s something striking about the depth of language in this song. For an artiste as young as Vessel Chordrick, Menye Wo Dɛn Nie carries a level of lyrical maturity and spiritual depth you might not immediately expect. It’s a thanksgiving song rooted in testimony, a reflection on being rescued from shame, having the desires of his heart satisfied, and looking back to say, this is how You changed my story.

And honestly, Team Eternity Ghana feels like the perfect choice for this one. Their sound, vocal character, and ability to carry songs with this kind of spiritual weight fit beautifully into the world Vessel creates here.

Then there’s the music itself , a powerful Ghanaian roots-inspired sound that shows yet another side of Vessel’s versatility. It feels like a young man putting his testimony into words far deeper than his years might suggest.
