Today marks the 100th anniversary of Maryhill Museum of Art’s dedication!

In 1907, Samuel Hill purchased 5,300 acres of land along the Columbia Gorge. He began work on a hillside mansion, but the remote location presented challenges. Hill’s friend convinced him to turn his mansion into an art museum. On November 3, 1926, while the museum was still unfinished, Sam Hill’s friend Queen Marie of Romania dedicated the building before a crowd of more than 2,000 people. After a series of setbacks and while sitting as art storage, the Maryhill Museum finally opened to the public in 1940.

GBD is proud to have become part of Maryhill’s history, working with the museum over the years on master planning, renovations, and its major expansion. Designed largely underground, the Maryhill Addition gave the museum room to grow while preserving the historic building’s presence within its remarkable Columbia River Gorge setting.

Brewery Blocks 2 Amenity Spaces -- Small improvements can make a big impact, especially in the spaces tenants use every day.

Our 9,700 SF renovation at Brewery Blocks 2 refreshed shared spaces throughout the building, including the main entrance and elevator lobby, restrooms, common corridors, and elevator lobbies on Levels 2, 3, and 9.

New tenant amenities include a fitness center with lockers and showers, a flexible conference center, and a tenant lounge, creating more opportunities for connection, collaboration, and well-being beyond individual tenant suites.

Patcraft Playback /
Revisiting collections that continue to inspire.✨

Inspired by oxidation, weathering, and the unexpected beauty found in nature, Artefact captures the artistry of imperfect processes through a mix of subtle and statement-making patterns.

Installed at the Jordan Ramis office, the commercial flooring features organic texture, layered visuals and rich tonal variation to create spaces that feel both sophisticated and welcoming.

A collection that transforms natural inspiration into thoughtfully crafted design, Artefact continues to bring a distinctive perspective to commercial interiors.
