Last night, we asked an important question:
WHAT IS THE WORD OF GOD?
The Bible isn’t just a collection of ancient stories or good advice. The Bible is the Word of God.
📖 2 Timothy 3:16–17
📖 2 Peter 1:20–21
📖 Hebrews 4:12
Think about this:
📚 Written over 1,500 years
✍️ Written by at least 40 authors
🌎 Written across 10 different countries and 3 continents
🗣️ Written in 3 different languages
👥 Featuring 2,930 different characters
📍 Mentioning 1,550 different places
And through all of it, God tells one unified story.
We can trust the Bible. Hundreds of years before Jesus came, Old Testament prophecies pointed to the coming Messiah—and those promises were fulfilled in Jesus in the New Testament.
But reading the Bible isn’t just about gaining knowledge.
It’s relational.
When we open God’s Word, we aren’t just learning about God—we are getting to know Him. His Word reminds us of His character, His promises, His truth, and most importantly, His presence.
So don’t just read the Bible to know more.
Read it to know Him. by @gbf_students

What a great night at Youth!
Last night, we asked a tough but important question:
WHAT IS SIN?
Sin is more than just doing bad things. Sin is choosing MY WAY instead of GOD’S WAY.
📖 Romans 3:23–24
We all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Sin is rebellion against God and His rightful authority over our lives.
Sin says, “I want to be God.”
📖 Genesis 3:1–5
Sin leads to shame, hiding, blame, and brokenness.
📖 Genesis 3:6–13
Sin earns death, but God gives us life.
📖 Romans 6:23
And while Jesus saves us from the penalty of sin, we still have to deal with the consequences of sin. Sin is holding us back from the life God designed for us.
So we have to ask:
WHOSE WAY AM I LIVING?
My way?
Or God’s way?
When we recognize sin in our lives, we’re called to:
1️⃣ Acknowledge it
2️⃣ Bring it to the light
3️⃣ Flee from it
4️⃣ Replace it
And we don’t fight sin alone. We pursue:
🤝 Christ-like community
🙌 Serving
📖 Time in God’s Word
🙏 Prayer
🎶 Worship
📖 Romans 5:8
God demonstrated His love for us by sending Christ for us while we were still sinners.
📖 Galatians 5:16
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
And sometimes walking by the Spirit means making that decision a hundred times in one day.
Choose God’s way. Walk by the Spirit. by @gbf_students

What a great night!!

Last night, we asked:

Who is the Holy Spirit? 👀

We looked at the picture of a tree to understand the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives: 🌳 We are called to be oaks of righteousness.
📖 Psalm 1:3 | Isaiah 61:3

🌱 ROOTS — The Holy Spirit has always been there.
From the beginning, the Spirit of God was present in creation. — 📖 Genesis 1:1–2

🌳 TRUNK — The Holy Spirit is our Helper.
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would come to guide us into truth, convict us, empower us, and dwell within us. — 📖 John 14:16–18; John 16:7–8, 13–15; Acts 1:1–9

He seals us as God’s people and pours God’s love into our hearts. — 📖 Ephesians 1:13; Romans 5:5

🍃 LEAVES — We are called to walk by the Spirit.
When we keep in step with the Spirit, He produces His fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. — 📖 Galatians 5:16, 22–23, 25

🍎 FRUIT — The Spirit works through us.
God gives each of us different gifts, and we are called to use those gifts to serve others. — 📖 Romans 12:6–8

The Holy Spirit isn’t just a concept we learn about. He is God with us, in us, guiding us, transforming us, and working through us. by @gbf_students
