✨FLOORING ✨ Elevating homes & spaces with curated tile, stone, & wood flooring. Celebrating 22 years!
Are you coming to SURFACE? Link in bio!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

1. It started as a crazy idea.
I wanted to see what would happen if we took materials normally used for flooring and turned them into fashion. Tile on a runway? Why not? I told Shelley with @design_decor_mag about my vision and she immediately made all of the connections…making this dream come true. I’m so grateful for her, her team, our sponsors and the SURFACE founding partners ✨

2. We’re actually making the pieces ourselves.
The bags, jewelry, belts and accessories you’ll see on the runway are things made by and/or embellished and upcycled by the GCFlooring team 🥹 We’ve been cutting, gluing, sewing, drilling, breaking things… 😂 and starting over until they’re right.

3. I went to New York to hunt for some of our materials.
Yep—that’s me walking through NYC with my arms full of fabric. Some of what I’m carrying in this photo will make its way onto the SURFACE runway.

4. Our models are architects, designers, builders and industry professionals who make our design community so special—They are going to ROCK that runway!

5. There’s a much bigger reason behind all of this. ❤️
SURFACE isn’t just about design or fashion. The evening benefits @starabilityfdn, which makes seeing this crazy little idea come to life mean even more.

Now you know. 😉

See you there!

IT’S OFFICIAL. SURFACE IS COMING.

We are incredibly excited to announce the inaugural SURFACE — Where Design Takes the Runway, arriving in Southwest Florida on November 5th.

For one unforgettable evening, the worlds of interior design, architecture, fashion and material will collide as 15 members of Southwest Florida’s design and building community step out of their usual roles—and onto the runway.

Tile and mosaic become wearable.
Materials become fashion.
And the people shaping our homes become the models.

Presented by founding partners Design + Decor, GC Flooring, Maison & Co. and STARK, SURFACE will bring together some of our community’s most recognized design professionals for an evening created to surprise, inspire and give back.

Most importantly, SURFACE will benefit STARability Foundation, bringing an even greater purpose to the evening.

This is only the beginning. Our vision is for SURFACE to become an annual, highly anticipated celebration of the extraordinary design community that defines Southwest Florida.

There’s something incredibly empowering about not being afraid of color and choosing what speaks to you, even when it isn’t what everyone else would choose.

Colors create emotion, patterns bring personality, and textures make you want to reach out and touch them.
That’s design… It’s personal. It’s expressive. It’s a little daring.

Mix the unexpected. Trust your eye.
