This is what I mean when I say I take candid wedding photos.

Not random.

Not “let’s just wing it.”

Not me standing across the room hoping something happens.

During the planning proccess Gracie and Max, kept coming back to the same thing:
“We just want the candid stuff.”
“The little moments we wouldn’t even think about.”

So while everyone else was focused on the big moments, I was paying attention to the little ones.

The look they gave each other from across the room.

The reactions they missed while they were talking to guests.

The absolute chaos on the dance floor.

The little in-between moments that would’ve been gone if someone wasn’t paying attention.

That’s what candid means to me.

It’s not taking hundreds of random photos and hoping something happens.

It’s knowing which moments are worth watching for and making sure I’m there when they happen.

If you’ve been saying, “We just want the candid stuff,” I have a feeling we’re talking about the same thing.

Still smiling from the most beautiful bridal shower 🍋

My “She Found Her Main Squeeze” shower was absolutely perfect, and I’m so grateful to my cousin Danielle and aunt Lisa for putting together such a thoughtful and special day. You went above and beyond and I felt so loved.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me — it truly meant so much to be surrounded by so many of my favorite people.

Well… OF COURSE!!!! From the moment you walked in the door and I first saw you, I thought “that’s gonna be my husband.” I’m SO HAPPY the feeling is mutual. 🤪💕🥹

But for real, you are my safe space. My love, my light and my home. You make me feel loved, appreciated and seen every single moment. ESPECIALLY when I’m freaking out and can’t get my eyeliner right and almost miss the event so you do a practice line on the mirror before helping me get the perfect wing on my face. I am so blessed to be apart of your family forever. Thank you, Max for loving me for me.

It’s been over a year since my last post and I’ve moved twice since then! In honor of our recent move to Houston in June, here’s a glimpse of our life when we were in Grand Forks, North Dakota before that! Good friends, good beer and good music.
