TONIGHT: Nicole Sunshine Murphy joins me LIVE on B-Boys Underground.

Nicole’s story crosses Hip-Hop, spoken word, podcasting, authorship, ministry, community work and motherhood.

Raised on Long Island, she released earlier spoken-word music as Nicole Dalton and has continued building her own platforms through Celebrating Life with Sunshine and Hip Hop Friday’s.

Tonight we’ll talk about where Hip-Hop first entered her life, what pushed her toward spoken word and podcasting, how faith became part of her work, opening her home to more than a dozen foster children, and the experiences behind her writing.

We’ll also get into her book All My Wet Dreams Came True, which deals with marriage, intimacy, forgiveness, past choices, second chances and keeping God at the center of a relationship.

There are several chapters to Nicole Sunshine Murphy’s story. Tonight, I want to connect them.

CINCINNATI IS IN THE BUILDING TONIGHT.

DJ Bizzy Bizz joins me LIVE on B-Boys Underground.

Bizzy’s name has been connected to Cincinnati’s club DJ scene for years, and he is still behind the decks in the Queen City today. Tonight I want to hear the history from the man who lived it.

We’re talking Cincinnati Hip-Hop, the clubs and parties, digging for records, learning how to control a room, breaking music, DJ culture before social media, how the technology changed the craft, and the people and places that helped shape Cincinnati’s scene.

Most importantly, I want to document some of the Cincinnati Hip-Hop history that does not always make it outside the city.

@4izeraps is turning 49 with something to say about getting older in Hip-Hop, and he is putting the argument on wax.

Tomorrow night, 4-IZE joins B-Boys Underground ahead of the September 11 release of his new 12-track album, 49th Birthday.

We’re talking longevity, lyricism, ageism in Hip-Hop, Chicago roots, building a career in Atlanta, the early Ludacris years, appearing with MF DOOM on “Guinnessez,” and what it takes to keep your pen sharp after more than two decades in the game.

We’ll also get into 49th Birthday, produced by D.R.U.G.S. Beats and K-Rec, with appearances from Xzibit, Bruiser Wolf, Legendary Baller, AOS, Dillon and Scar.

The first single, “4Eva Chemicals,” makes the album’s position clear: Hip-Hop has been in 4-IZE’s system for nearly half a century, and he has no plans to age out of the culture.

TONIGHT: Cymarshall Law returns to B-Boys Underground.

This is his third time on the show, and this time he’s coming back with a new chapter ready to drop.

Cymarshall Law & Slimline Mutha release The Peaceful Warrior 3: Legacy of the Light this Saturday, August 29. The 13-track album continues a collaboration that has developed across the Peaceful Warrior series while connecting directly to the larger Legacy of the Light world Cymarshall has been building through music, books and CyVision.

One record I especially want to get into tonight is “The Storm,” featuring Skyzoo and the late Pumpkinhead, with cuts by DJ Phillip Lee.

Pumpkinhead wasn’t simply another feature for Cy. He has spoken about PH as a friend and brother who took him under his wing early in his journey. Having his voice preserved on this record gives us a much deeper story to talk about than a track credit.

We’re also catching up on what has happened since Cymarshall’s last visit, including his three 2026 book releases and taking his work into Barnes & Noble.

There is history between Cymarshall Law and B-Boys Underground now, so tonight isn’t an introduction. We get to pick the conversation back up and find out what has happened since the last chapter.

Born Teddy Jackson and raised in Freeport, Long Island, Sugar Bear made his mark with the 1988 underground classic “Don’t Scandalize Mine,” a record known for its fearless sample construction and lasting impact in UK clubs and Golden Era hip-hop circles.

Now, the full story continues with Never Lost: My ’88 Demos, released through Chuck D’s SpitSLAM Record Label Group. The project brings together the unreleased music originally planned to follow “Don’t Scandalize Mine,” including “Ready to Penetrate,” “Coming From London,” rare demos, and restored recordings from the vault.

C-Doc is a producer, emcee, filmmaker, President and co-owner of SpitSLAM Records, and Creative Director for Public Enemy. His history with Chuck D reaches back to the early days of online music collaboration and the formation of The Impossebulls, recognized as the world’s first virtual rap squad.
