✨ #ForbesMulher #MulheresNaMúsica #EmpreendedorismoCriativo #GabriellaDiLaccio #ArteComPropó by @gdilaccio

🇬🇧 Yesterday I had the honour of receiving my MBE by HRH the Prince of Wales, for my services to music and gender equality. As a Brazilian woman and artist, stepping into Windsor Castle was a moment of deep pride and emotion. I knew I wanted to bring Brazil with me - in my heart, in my presence, and in every detail I wore. This recognition is not mine alone. I carry with me the women in my family, the historic women whose music I continue to discover and who inspire me every day, the women of today who keep breaking barriers, and the young women who will shape our future. May this honour open doors and inspire more women - and every person, everywhere - to dream beyond barriers. And may I continue to serve music and gender equality wherever I go, through my singing and through my actions. I share this moment with the amazing women in my life @anna.job @carolinajobb @drakarinadilaccio @vic_dilaccio ♥️ You were all there with me. AI is learning music history from a world that largely left women out. And it’s already carrying that imbalance into the future. For years, I’ve been bringing extraordinary music by women back to life through performance. But here’s what we need to understand: music that isn’t published, performed or recorded is music that AI is far less likely to learn from. We cannot change the past. But we can change what the future inherits. And that starts with what we choose to perform and record today. I discussed this with the wonderful @manoushz on @npr @ted Radio Hour @socialpros11111 in the episode “Thousands of women composers have been erased from history. Who were they?” 🎧 Listen to the full conversation:
https://www.npr.org/2026/10/02/nx-s1-5945613/thousands-of-women-composers-have-been-erased-from-history-who-were-they The future of music is being shaped right now. What are we choosing to leave in it? #gabrielladilaccio #tedradiohour by @gdilaccio
Magia de @adrianacalcanhotto ✨ Que show maravilhoso! Que privilégio passar esses dias com você. (E o meu susto quando ela falou meu nome do palco?! 😱🥹) See you soon my dear friend ♥️ by @gdilaccio
It all started as an idea in my head, which I eventually managed to explain it to @xuan.gxx marking the start of our collaboration. ✨🫠 Two people, a350 years song, electronics, @mi.mu.gloves and later on we brought AI (God help us)😳🤖 Three months of talking, some chaos, rehearsals, many Noooooooo!!!!! (to the AI contribution attempts 🤦‍♀️) and we are now officially on our way to @tedaivienna To be continued 👀… by @gdilaccio
I’m opening @tedaivienna next week 🤩🎶 Guess which song I’ll perform… comment your guess below ⬇️ #TEDAI #TEDAIVienna #AI #Soprano #MiMuGloves 🧤🤖🎶 by @gdilaccio
What happens if we teach the future only what the past remembered? For years, I’ve been uncovering extraordinary music by women that history left behind. Now AI is learning from that same incomplete cultural record. My TED Talk is now live. I’m here to ask you to watch it. (It’s one coffee break.) If it resonates with you, please share it. Ideas only become powerful when they travel. Thank you @ted for giving this idea a global stage. #gabrielladilaccio #womeninmusic by @gdilaccio

Why I chose silence on the @ted stage. People thought the sound system had broken. That was the point. I could have told the audience what happens when voices disappear from history. But I wanted them to feel the absence. 10 seconds of silence to symbolise centuries of voices that existed but somehow are still unheard. My voice trembled - but my main focus was not “will they think my voice is pretty?” - it was “I want to do a good job and be worthy of this cause”. For eight years, I’ve been working to bring extraordinary music by women back into the world with @donne_uk - not simply because women deserve to be remembered, but because humanity deserves to inherit the full breadth of its own creativity. And now I want to take this much further. I know I can’t do it alone. So if something in this speaks to you - and you have an idea, an introduction, a platform, a collaboration, or another way to help - come and find me. And if nothing else, share this. You never know who might be listening. ❤️ Watch the talk on YouTube - https://youtu.be/txf8CrI5z-k?si=o3nJupsIsWVYnmaN (link on bio) #gabrielladilaccio #ted #womeninmusic by @gdilaccio
