Vlog 1.

I was late to work twice today. 2/3. I worked a lot today. I don’t know why I’m working so much. Probably something to with hyper independence. Idk. I do like being at work though. It reminds me of school. You see the same people. You meet new people. Your relationship with the same people becomes new. Change is insistent, stagnancy is a myth and stability is only change hidden in controlled disguise. While I was cleaning I was able to think. I’ve got a lot to think about recently. A whole lot of nothing. Anyway. I was too tired to eat real food and plus, I haven’t gone to the market. I ought to do that tomorrow.

I don’t want any music on this video so I won’t put any. There’s not enough boring and bad content out there. Here’s some by @gdoplemore

Hi everyone! I think this is a great time to introduce ourselves!

We are Small World Co., a small business focused on strengthening communities by creating a healthier media and news landscape. Our co founders Gillian Doplemore and Izah DeFigh pitched our social media platform @outskrtsmag yesterday at Biola University Crowell School of Business Startup Competition! While our entire team wasn’t able to be there, our communications director Levi Boettner was there to support.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share what we’ve been working on over the past year and receive feedback on what we’ve been working on. It was also wonderful hearing our peers pitch their wonderful ideas that they have been working on!

Today @outskrtsmag is officially 1 years old. I cannot believe it. I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this, there are too many to count and you know who you are. There have been so many conversations, meeting, late nights, groupchats, and EMAILS!! Our team started with two and has grown 7 fold.

This began as a handshake, then a conversation, and then an idea. We’ve worked backwards from the beginning and we’ve always managed to come back full circle. This journey has been beyond my wildest dreams, and I am so excited for year 2. Our past, present, and future is bright. Everyone stay tuned for summer because we are just getting started, it’s gonna be a blast.
