Lately, I’ve been thinking about how quietly God can answer prayers. Not always in the ways we expect. Not always on the timeline we imagined. But often through the very seasons that once felt uncertain. A year ago, I was stepping into a completely new chapter. New surroundings, new rhythms, new beginnings. And somewhere along the way, God started bringing small dreams back to life again — including one I’ve carried for years: riding in a hot air balloon over Napa Valley. ✨ This past month felt full of reminders that starting over doesn’t mean starting empty. Sometimes it’s actually the beginning of seeing God fulfill things you almost forgot you prayed for. “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.” — Psalm 37:4 💛 I’ll be writing more about this tomorrow on Stay in the Light. It’s here. Over the past few months, I’ve been in a quieter season—creating space, reflecting, and allowing new ideas to take shape. What started as a personal shift slowly became something more. A space that feels aligned. A space that reflects where I am… and where I’m growing. Today, I’m sharing that with you. GeanaDaneen.com is live. This is just the beginning—but it’s a meaningful one. If you feel called to explore, I’d love for you to take a look. The link is in my bio. ☺️ ✨ by @geanadaneen
A little October recap, a lot to be grateful for, and a fresh page to turn. Welcome, November. 🍂💛✨ by @geanadaneen
I’ve been thinking about this one for a while. 🫶 My latest article, Learning to Use the Voice I Have, is now up on Substack. Link in bio if you’d like to read it. ✨ #writer #entrepreneur #creative #voice #faith by @geanadaneen
Does my life look the way I once imagined it would? Not exactly. But somewhere in the middle of all the unknowns, I’ve found myself feeling more like me than ever. And honestly, I’m really grateful for the life I’m living—even as I keep dreaming about what’s ahead. 💛 I wrote about the past year, turning 40, and what it feels like when life takes a different shape than you expected in my latest Stay in the Light. “One Year Later, and Somehow More Me Than Ever” is up now. One year ago today, I left Maryland and headed to California in a U-Haul. 🚚🌴 September 21, 2025. And honestly… I can’t believe it’s been a year. What a year it’s been. A year of adventure. Facing fears. Working through challenges. Trying new things. Discovering more of who I am. Stepping out in faith. And dancing my way through a whole lot of unknown. 🩰 There were definitely moments when I wondered what in the world I had gotten myself into. 😂 There were moments that stretched me, surprised me, humbled me, and reminded me that I’m a lot braver than I sometimes give myself credit for. But more than anything, this has been a year of drawing closer to God. He’s been with me through every mile, every decision, every unexpected turn, every “okay God… what are we doing here?” moment. 😂 He’s led me. He’s guided me. He’s kept me. And looking back at that girl who packed up her life and drove west one year ago, I’m really proud of her for taking the leap. California, I’ve loved this journey. You’ve stretched me, surprised me, delighted me, and opened my heart in the best ways. Happy Year 1! 💛🌴 What a beautiful year it’s been. #california #moving #newbeginning #oneyearago #faithingod by @geanadaneen
California, you are so beautiful. 💛 Beauty isn’t always in the big moments. Sometimes it’s in what’s already here. Read my Love Letter to the Ordinary on Stay in the Light. Link in bio. ✨ #california #intentionalliving #beauty #entrepreneur #writing by @geanadaneen
Ten articles. 🥹💛🎉 When I started Stay in the Light, I didn’t know what it would become. I just knew I wanted a little space to write, to share, to be honest, and to let people get to know me beyond the titles I carry. Somewhere along the way, I started getting to know myself, too. And through all the doubt, second-guessing, and wondering if any of it mattered, I kept showing up. I’m learning that sometimes that’s the whole point. Keep tending. Keep showing up. Trust God with what grows. 🌱 Article #10, Keep Tending, is on Stay in the Light. Link in bio. ✨ #keepgoing #dontgiveup #writer #stayinthelight by @geanadaneen
