After a lot of great adventures and countless miles, the Subaru Crosstrek has officially found a new home. Every trail, campsite, backroad, and memory made with this build will always be a part of this page.
But a new chapter starts today.
We traded the Crosstrek for a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon in Gecko Green, and we’re excited to see where this next adventure takes us. The Crosstrek community has been incredible, and I appreciate everyone who followed along and supported the build over the years.
This page isn’t slowing down—it’s just heading in a new direction. Stay tuned as the Gladiator gets built into its next adventure rig.

EXPO ADVENTURE APPALACHIA at Ace Adventure Resort was a great time, and seeing a long line of rigs winding through the backwoods of the New River Gorge was an incredible sight. One after another, the convoy stretched through the forest, kicking up dust and exploring some of the most scenic backroads West Virginia has to offer.

It’s moments like these that make trail rides so memorable—great people, capable rigs, and miles of adventure through the mountains.

EXPO ADVENTURE APPALACHIA at Ace Adventure Resort had the Crosstrek waiting in line for our trail ride down into the New River Gorge, ready to roll with the convoy. Surrounded by rigs and mountain views, it was that perfect mix of anticipation and adventure before dropping into the trails.

One of those moments where you just know the ride ahead is going to be good.

EXPO ADVENTURE APPALACHIA at Ace Adventure Resort started off right, and for our first night at camp we cooked up pimento cheese venison burgers—and they were absolutely delicious. Nothing beats a solid camp meal after getting everything set up in the mountains.

Good food, good people, and a perfect way to kick off the weekend in the New River Gorge.

EXPO ADVENTURE APPALACHIA at Ace Adventure Resort was a great time, and our trail expedition turned into an unforgettable sight with a long line of rigs rolling through the mountains. From the Crosstrek to the FJ and everything in between, it was just a steady convoy of builds taking on the New River Gorge together.
