A moment to Celebrate my son as today he turns 20!! I will forever see him as this little guy following me around wanting to jump on me and wrestle, or watch star wars on disney kids or take him to the pool and chase him and his sister under the water. Such an amazing feeling to have been able to watch him grow into his own. Two years of college nearly in the books with a 3.5GPA yes I am very proud!! Grateful to have had him live with us since starting his college Journey at 18. The kid is thriving!! It's been 5 months! I miss him dearly 💔 today, especially as I turn 45. My first birthday without him, I'm sad. I have a ton to be grateful for, and I truly am, but right now, I just miss him. I didn't announce his passing besides changing my profile pic on FB. Things were a bit foggy during that time. I felt like he was still in the hospital as what seemed to be our routine the last year. He felt terrible thinking he was a burden on me. All I could do was smile as I remember him to be the superhero he was taking me everywhere he could, after working long hours. He taught me to play baseball and help him around the house. I smiled at him and said, " It's my turn, old man. I got you. " he may or may not have cursed at me, but we would laugh after. I am so grateful for all that he did. I was honored to have had one last night with him in the hospital. I chatted with him as he slept, reminding him how loved he was. I was scared to sleep, just kept checking on him. He was a warrior! He waited for mom and the family to get there in the morning before passing. No doubt he was waiting for mom!! ❤️ My first birthday without him. I'll have a shot for him on the table when I get home. I Love you old man. #POPS 🙏🏽 by @gee_local157

To my family and friends, I wish you all a Happy Mother's Day! I'm a fortunate man having my mom, who is 76 years old here breaking my balls, and my big sister @bec_la_india who is always available to hear me out when I need to vent and vice versa. I love you both so much. No matter how hard things may get or become, I know I can always count on you both! I understand not many may have that privilege some by circumstance some by their own stupidity of CHOICES, but for me I'm grateful for you both and I love you more than I could ever express!
