I was raised by two incredibly hardworking parents who gave everything to create a better life for our family.

My mom taught me resilience.
My dad taught me sacrifice.

They did the best they could with what they had — but like so many, they weren’t given the tools to turn their hard work into long-term financial security.

Losing my dad was one of the hardest moments of my life. But it also became a turning point.
It lit a fire in me to change the narrative — for my family, and for others like us.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to educate and assist several families in building stronger financial foundations — helping them protect what they’ve worked for, grow their wealth, and create lasting legacies.

This is why I do what I do and why I love what I do.

Because it’s not just about money — it’s about peace of mind, generational impact, and rewriting the story for those who come next.

This mission is deeply personal… and it’s only just beginning.

This is for my dad.
This is for every person who’s ever felt behind or overlooked.
This is for every family rewriting their story.

I almost didn’t tell our story.
Not because it isn’t true, but because it’s vulnerable.

But I’m learning that healing looks like honesty… and leadership looks like sharing the parts you survived.

So here it is.
For the person who thinks they’re alone in their fear.
For the family trying to figure it out.
For the dreamer who’s been “almost ready” for too long.

Let this be your reminder: it’s not too late.

A dream I forgot I had came true this weekend.

I had the honor of speaking in front of over 1,000+ entrepreneurs at our Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit.

There was a season where grief, loss, and starting over made me stop dreaming. I wasn’t thinking about what I really wanted out of my life. I was just trying to survive, rebuild, and figure out how to create a life that honored the legacy of the people I had lost.

But somewhere in the rebuilding, I found my voice again.

I’ve always wanted to inspire, coach, mentor, and speak on stages that help people believe and dream bigger for their lives.

This weekend reminded me that sometimes the dreams you thought were gone are really just waiting for you to become the person who can carry them.

Grateful for this moment. I’ve never been more excited for my life, what’s to come, and the mission we get to build: No Family Left Behind.

Next dream: 30,000+ people. More impact. More lives changed. 🙌🏽

Five years ago, we said yes to each other with no idea of what our lives would look like today. In 2026, we moved to the DMV to support our growing team and opened two offices in the last 6 months.

In these five years we have had loss, hospital stays, uncertainty and rebuilding, but also so much joy, adventure and growth. We’ve traveled the world, changed careers, built a business, impacted families and created a life we never imagined.

If these five years have taught us anything, it’s to bet on yourself, bet on each other and give yourselves enough time to see yourselves win.

Here’s to the next five 🥂

2025 🌵

The year we started building our financial services business together. Two scientists stepping into entrepreneurship and figuring it out side by side.

So many moments I’ve thought, “I wish dad was here to see this.”

Today, instead of focusing on the years I’ve lived without you, I’m celebrating everything I’ve accomplished carrying you with me.

September recap 📍✨

This month looked like…

✔️ Los Angeles for training at Pacific Life headquarters
✔️ Celebrating my mom’s birthday
✔️ New York Fashion Week
✔️ Building a new partnership with the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences
✔️ Launching our Loyola University internship program as official corporate partners
✔️ Grand opening of our office floor in Tyson’s Corner
✔️ Queen of Hearts charity event
✔️ Homemade pizza nights with friends
✔️ Finished the final draft of my first book chapter
✔️ Promoted another junior broker
✔️ A lot of travel, learning, building, and moments I never want to take for granted

I don’t think I ever imagined my life looking like this, but the last 30 days reminded me what can happen when you bet on yourself, stay consistent, and keep building long enough to see the fruit of it.

So if you’re in a season where it feels like you’re doing the work but not seeing everything yet, keep going. The seeds you’re planting now can become the life you’re praying to live later.

Still thinking about the National Sales Network Conference.

One of my favorite parts was being around so many different people: healthcare, finance, corporate, entrepreneurship, and so many other walks of life, all coming together to learn from each other.

Getting to hear Taraji P. Henson on following your dreams and Chanice Anderson on Legal Structure within your finances and estate, and so many incredible people share their stories and lessons was powerful.

I LOVE seeing women building and empowering, it’s so inspiring to have endless seats at the table. And honestly, some of the best moments were the conversations in between. Meeting new people, hearing what they’re building, sharing what we’re building, and learning from people whose worlds may look completely different from ours.

Always working on the mindset AND the skill set so I can keep showing up better for the people I’m called to serve. Can’t wait for NSN 2027 in Atlanta! 📍🌆 taken in Marriott Marquis Washington DC by @geenaildefonso

Yesterday, while recording a podcast in Miami, I was asked what gap I saw that led me to transition from cancer research into financial literacy.

The answer was simple: my dad.

His cancer diagnosis was the reason I became a cancer research scientist in college and pursued my doctorate. But losing him also showed me how unprepared so many families are for the financial weight that can come with life’s hardest moments.

I remember thinking, I wish we had known then what I teach families now.

After the podcast, I stopped to visit him. He always told me I would make a big impact in this life, at the time I just didn’t know what that would be. Standing there felt like such a full-circle moment. I didn’t walk away from my purpose when I left the lab, I walked into a different room.

Thank you @legalandwealthy_ for having @roxy_raisesthestandard and I. Thank you for creating the space for such an honest conversation and allowing me to share a story that is so deeply personal to me to help others.

June recap 📍✨

This month was full, training the team in the DMV, traveling and exploring through DC, Maryland, and Virginia, attending chamber events, meeting new people, bomb coffee, eating amazing food, building the business in real time, and getting to see my mom was everything.

We also jump-started a new financial literacy campaign and hit our first impact goal of educating over 100 people in one month as a team! 🙌🏽

A lot of movement, a lot of learning, a lot of laughs, and a big reminder that sometimes you don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need to start, stay consistent, and keep going.

June showed me that you don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect to start making an impact. Officially halfway to my mission to 50 flight takeoffs for the year 👀

July is going to be even better…🔥
