There are plenty of things to be scared of this Halloween… workshop downtime doesn’t need to be one of them. 👻

When equipment goes down, jobs can quickly start backing up and the whole day’s schedule can take a hit.

That’s why our engineers are out across the UK maintaining, calibrating and repairing garage equipment, helping customers get machines back in use sooner and keep booked work moving.

Sustainability is about making better choices wherever you can and that’s something we’re continuing to work on as a 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

For us, it’s about taking a more considered approach to our environmental impact and making sustainability part of how we operate, rather than something we only talk about.

And with Sustainability Day today, it feels like a good time to recognise that progress doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from continuing to look at what you’re doing, where you can improve and what the next step should be.

It’s an ongoing process and we’re committed to keeping that momentum going! 🙌

Workshop inspections and calibrations to keep track of? We’ll keep an eye on that!

Our mobile engineers carry out portable lifting equipment inspections and small tool calibrations on site, helping you stay on top of safety, compliance and those all-important deadlines.

Better still, our calibration database monitors what’s due, helps plan upcoming visits and keeps your certification up to date.

We can also support with LOLER and PUWER requirements, helping identify potential issues before they become bigger problems.

So, when the next inspection or calibration rolls around, you know it’s being taken care of. ✔️

We keep thousands of workshops moving every day, with our engineers out and about across the UK calibrating, maintaining and repairing workshop equipment.

For our customers, that means faster access to support when equipment goes down, the capacity to manage regular calibration across multiple sites AND less time spent waiting when a problem is holding up the workshop.

The scale of our service network speaks for itself!☝️

Up it goes. 👆

The @autopstenhoj Maestro 2.50 NxT pictured here has a 5-tonne lifting capacity, giving workshops plenty of scope beyond the car you can see on the lift.

Its adjustable arms give you the flexibility to lift everything from low cars through to larger, long-wheelbase vans, while the baseless design means there’s nothing running across the floor between the posts.

So, if you’ve got all sorts coming through the workshop doors, this is a handy bit of kit to have in the bay.

We know heavy commercial wheels aren’t exactly the easiest things to wrestle around a workshop. 😅

That’s where the 𝗔𝗖 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗧𝗔𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 earns its place.

Built for vans, trucks and buses, it can handle up to 500kg and wheel sizes from Ø270-1300mm. Adjustable roller-bearing lifting arms allow the wheel to be rotated into position, while the pedal-operated hydraulic pump leaves both hands free for the job.

Add in a securing bracket, controlled lowering and four nylon castors, and you’ve got a practical way to make removing, moving and refitting heavy wheels much more manageable.

And it’s not limited to wheels either - brake drums, fuel tanks and toolboxes can all be handled too!

More details on our website.

That’s 45 tonnes of lifting capacity right there! 💪

This set of four @finkbeiner.uk mobile columns can lift 7.5 tonnes each, giving workshops some serious capacity when buses, trucks and other commercial vehicles need to come off the ground.

And despite what they can lift, they’re surprisingly flexible. Each column can be moved individually, while wireless communication means there are no connecting cables running between them.
