*THANKS* *FOR* *THORNS*

*2* *CORINTHIANS* *12: 10* .

¹⁰ That is why, for Christ sake I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ( NIV)

👉🏽 Scottish author and preacher George Matheson who was blind expressed this prayer: " I have thanked thee a thousand times for my roses, but never once for my ' thorn ' ... Teach me the glory of my cross; teach me the value of my ' thorn ' ...."
To give thanks in every situation is not easy, but when we understand that sometimes through suffering *God* *is* *accomplishing* *what* *is* *best* *for* *us* we will thank Him even when we are pierced by ' thorns ' .

*We* *lessen* *the* *pain* *of* *suffering* , *when* *we* *learn* *the* *lesson* *of* *gratitude* .

Have a lovely day
