This was an absolute blast to complete. It was the most challenging thing I've done so far from start to finish and I love how it turned out.

It's funny this character (in short summary is an accomplished starship racer) has been on my list to do for a long time and was the last priority. But once I started, it quickly became number 1.

The helmet's life started as a @starwars #blackserieshelmet that I designed a paint job for to go along with my character. The logos and lettering on the helmet are in universe companies and components from around the galaxy that I cobbled together with my limited graphic design knowledge 😅.

I can't wait to finish this whole outfit. As with any Star Wars fit you start with the bucket right?! 😁

The Greebs.

Watching the crowds move around Space Dive and browsing social media of those attending I can't help but notice how many are wearing my work! It's such a cool feeling seeing so many people consider my work worthy of adding to their outfits 😊.

A little background on me. I've always wanted to be an artist, specifically a car designer. Unfortunately I could never draw cars 😅. Instead I shifted my focus to Industrial Design and attended art school where I got my BFA. Ironically I ended up moving to Michigan and working for a car company as a digital sculptor.

Being able to design these greebs and other props has been an amazing outlet for me creatively and to meet so many wonderful people. I've said it before but being a part of this community has been so fulfilling!

I had an absolute blast at @spacedive313 and I'm so happy to be able to get a last minute photo session. I wasn't sure I was going to get this fit completed in time!

Thanks to @remakeandcreate , I couldn't be happier with these photos, here are a few of my favorites!

Thrilled to add this mythosaur skull as a fine addition to my collection! This was made by @dh_droidworks who is an incredible artist and person in the maker community. Looking forward to adding this to my Mando kit, once I finish it...which I will! Someday 😅.

Got an awesome delivery from @womprat_mando which included this mythosaur banner (among other goodies 🙂). Figured I'd get some pics of my bucket with it. I really gotta finish this kit 😅

This month the #ferrixfriday theme is "hats and hoods"

I don't have either (does a helmet count 😅?) It made me think how in our real and pretend life we wear multiple "hats".

Sometimes it's not the hat we want to wear, rather the one we have to in the moment. Whatever the challenge, situation, or occasion I hope you find the hat you need, or the one that makes you happy.

Maybe you wear just one hat, although I'm willing to bet you actually have many, you just don't know it 🙂

Have been working on all the small details (greebles, leather pouches and stuff) but this grenade from @generalgreebles really came out quite nicely.

Made from tough resin and stuffed with all the electronics it has a nice feeling to it. Quite heavy.

Three years ago today we were fortunate to board the Halcyon once before her departure. I literally think about it everyday, nearly reliving every moment in my head best I can remember.

It's hard to describe the experience. Honestly I didn't really know what to expect because I don't remember any marketing for it or knew anyone personally (at the time) who went. After going I don't know how it could have been properly advertised without spoiling the experience. There are so many unscheduled events and interactions that really made it special.

For those two nights and three days I was living Star Wars, there's no other way to put it. The crew and passengers all creating an unforgettable experience together. When we left I was sad for a really long time. I would call any chance I got during my day to see if there was a cancellation I could snag. I had no plan on how to pay it, but I just wanted to go back so bad!

It was my wife's idea to dress up for our trip and I'm so glad we did. I had never 'cosplayed' before but doing so brought the experience to a whole different level. This was an anniversary trip for us (married 9/10/11) so it was fun that we got August 9,10,11 dates!

This was the start of General Greebles, my store, and a new hobby of designing and weathering props. This experience led me to gain new skills and I've made a lot of great new friends.

Maybe someday Disney will revisit this idea and make a new one! In the words of our friend D3-09 "May the stars light your way".

Making some progress on the Mortis Stones from @cgs_props . Painting organic looking things is tough y'all!! But I love this texture I'm getting along the way. The coat of modeling paste has really added an extra element of realistic look. Got a long way to go but I'm really happy so far.

L-rak really got into this time with the deck officer 😅. Corr is always a fan of listening to his brother get a good talking to. Another hotshot pilot making excuses? Or is something else going on?
