Ever get the feeling you’ve been SWINDLED?

VAXINE are proud to present the new music video for the title track off our forthcoming second LP, “Swindled Again,” coming this winter on @GeneralSpeech.

This video was a blast to make! Huge thanks to @trippy for filming and directing. It was a pleasure and an honor to work with someone with such visual talent. Trippy captured our vision perfectly — and, more importantly, made sure Mike didn’t get hit by a train while ripping a solo during filming 😂

Big thanks to all our friends and fans who showed up, hung out, and helped make the shoot what it was. You can even spot some of our buds from LCB and Hated floating around in there!

We’re beyond excited to finally start sharing what we’ve been working on. “Swindled Again” is coming this winter, followed by plenty of touring.

Stay tuned — we’re just getting started. by @generalspeech

Last night in Philly I saw ΠΛΕΚΤΑΝΗ (Plektani) from Greece. They were absolutely raging, and I had to get some copies of their LP for the webstore. In addition I got copies of 2 other excellent Greek bands: Blood Trace (burly USHC style) and Piss Sniffers (D-Beat Raw Punk). In addition I added the Philly/Idaho collab record by Lice and Flies, which has turned out to be an unexpected favorite this year.

If you want to see Plektani live I believe their remaining tour is:
9/24 - Pittsburgh w/ Ultimatum
9/25 - Richmond w/ Public Acid
9/26 - NYC by @generalspeech

General Speech is now taking pre-orders for the new 2xDVD from G.I.S.M. Through October 8th. Head to www.generalspeech.com to preorder.

The footage captures G.I.S.M.’s appearance at Psychic TV’s “Final Wars,” held on January 16, 1986. During the performance, frontman SAKEVI Yokoyama ignited a gas burner and stormed into the audience. The organizers halted the sound due to safety concerns, prompting a furious response from the band. The situation further escalated into a confrontation with a reporter claiming to be from a weekly magazine who was documenting the incident. The entire sequence performance, chaos, and aftermath - is presented completely uncut. This footage is identical to “Gasburner Panic,” originally included in G.I.S.M.’s second video release BOOTLEG 1986. Now, nearly four decades later, it is being released on DVD for the first time. Filmed using a single Sony Betamovie camera, the recording documents not only the live performance but also everything that unfolded around it. In accordance with SAKEVI’s wishes at the time, the original release was presented entirely unedited, preserving its raw documentary integrity.

As a bonus disc, the package also includes footage from “Apocalypse 666,” a G.I.S.M. live performance held at Shinjuku Antiknock in 1992. This material captures the full experience from audience entry through the live set, all presented uncut. The end block also features rare footage of the band’s soundcheck. Originally edited in 1992, this marks the first time the material is presented in its complete, uncut form.

Pre-orders are live today for 2 new General Speech releases from Early Grave and Bequest. These bands are both from Philly, and each highlight the strength of the scene here currently, as well as being among my favorite releases of the year! If you like your hardcore punk a little darker, both of these releases are up your alley. Orders for these should ship in late September.

Early Grave plays Varning Fest in Montreal this Saturday the 19th, headlining the day show. Their next US gig will be at the First Unitarian Church in Philly with Iron Lung, Hologram, Pray To Be Saved, and Malform on Satuday Sept 26th and will have records at both gigs. #ushc #anarchopunk #phillypunk #phillyhardcore #hardcorepunk by @generalspeech

Of course we had to pull out all the stops for the return of US powerviolence gods IRON LUNG...so, on September 26th, they'll be performing at the Church, in the round, in QUADROPHONIC SOUND, for maximum aural brutality!

YES, this will be the ONLY show on their tour that will be presented in four channel sonic savagery, a unique from-all-sides assault experience of the best blast beats you will not find anywhere else.

And if that weren't enough, they sit atop a truly insane bill, featuring HOLOGRAM, PRAY TO BE SAVED, EARLY GRAVE, & MALFORM. Tickets are on sale NOW NOW NOW!

General Speech presents a very special all ages gig with Ulcer (ex-Effigy from Kagawa Japan). In addition, this will likely be the second to last No Fucker gig in the USA, so it made sense to make this a real celebration of the hard work the punk scene on the east coast is doing, with support from some of the best crust and hardcore punk bands the US has to offer. Tickets on sale now through the R5 website.

Saturday Dec 12th at the Upper Darby American Legion. 6914 Chestnut Street.
6pm Doors. All Ages.

Ulcer
No Fucker (New York)
Destruct (Richmond)
Lifeless Dark (Boston)
Flower (New York)
Kinetic Orbital Strike (Philly)
Early Grave (Philly)

Pre-orders for 4 new General Speech releases are up on the webstore.

Ulcer/Disturd - Split LP
K.O.S. - The True Disaster 12”
Ejaculators - God Bless You 7”
Baby Killer - S/T tape

This batch perfectly illustrates what I love about punk, these bands are sonically very different but we all have shared experiences and are making music against the fucked up world we live in, whether you love crust, hardcore, raw punk or 77 type shit, we’re all punks working together to carve out a space for those of us who feel like the world should be different.

Also up for streaming on bandcamp and whatever other streaming platform you prefer. #punkrecords #japanesecrust #dbeatrawpunk #ushc #punktapes by @generalspeech
