🔥Introducing the Generation Next 2026 Cohort.✨

After receiving more than 900 applications from across Southeast Asia and Australia, we’re excited to welcome the women selected for Generation Next 2026.

Starting in July 2026, this cohort will come together to explore opportunities in the Digital Economy, strengthen their ventures, learn from industry leaders, and build meaningful connections across borders.

Representing diverse industries, experiences, and communities, these founders share a common ambition: to create impact, solve real-world challenges, and shape the future through entrepreneurship.

Generation Next was created to support emerging women founders with the networks, mentorship, knowledge, and opportunities needed to accelerate their growth and expand what’s possible.

This year’s cohort joins a growing community of founders who are building businesses, creating jobs, driving innovation, and contributing to a more connected Southeast Asian–Australia region.

A huge congratulations to everyone selected.

Looking back at Day 1, we can’t help but smile at these little moments. From the excitement of the Amazing Race to our first dinner together, it was so lovely watching everyone slowly get to know each other, laugh together, and make the first memories of this journey.

Congratulations to Bruneian entrepreneurs Diana Harney and Nisaa Haidi on taking part in the Generation Next: ASEAN-Australia Women Leading Economic Growth program!

Over 13 weeks, Diana and Nisaa joined 30 women founders from ASEAN and Australia to explore opportunities in the digital economy.

Anddddd... we’re off air. 📡

Over five days, we brought together more than 450 people across six events, creating spaces for students, founders, creatives, educators, industry leaders and curious minds to connect, share ideas and explore what could come next.

From Lo-Fi Build Night and Morning Coffee Walks to Generation Next: On Air, our VIP Dinner, HEXPO LIVE and After Hours, each event had its own energy and brought a different part of our community together.

Across the week, we heard conversations about the future of work, AI, creativity, culture, Southeast Asia’s digital economy and the changing world around us. But some of the best moments happened between the official program: over coffee, across dinner tables, during founder pitches, between sessions and on the dance floor.

Thank you to every speaker, attendee, volunteer, partner and member of the HEX team who helped make HEXPO 2026 happen.

And a huge thank you to our venue partners LCI Melbourne (@lci_melbourne), Udom House (@udom.house), Operator25 (@operator25cafe), Tank Stream Labs (@tankstreamlabs), Panama Dining Room (thepanamadiningroom) and The Mission to Seafarers (@mts_vic_events) for giving us the spaces to bring each part of the week to life.

Recap D-7 — Closing the Trade Mission 🇦🇺🤍🫶🏻✨

Last Saturday was a beautiful final chapter to an unforgettable week.

We started the day with Dear Future Founder, taking a moment to pause, reflect on the journey and think about everything that comes next.💬✨

Then came our Farewell Lunch - one last table, one last meal together, and one more chance to share stories, laughter and the little moments we’ll remember from this week and a few more stories and plenty of heartfelt goodbyes.🍔🍽️🥹

There was something bittersweet about saying goodbye. Just seven days ago, many of these faces were meeting for the first time. Now, they were sitting around the same table, looking back on a week filled with new friendships, ideas, experiences and memories.🫂💗

As we officially closed the Trade Mission, we sent our founders off with more than what they arrived with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and a community that reaches far beyond Melbourne.✈️👋🏻

30 founders. 7 days. One unforgettable journey. 🤍

The week may be over, but the connections continue and for our founders, what’s next is only beginning.

Recap TRADE MISSION D-6 — HEXPO LIVE + Gala Night🦋✨

Yesterday, HEXPO LIVE brought together entrepreneurship, education, technology, careers and innovation — creating a space to discover new ideas, meet your people and explore what’s next.

The energy was incredible, with inspiring conversations, new connections and so many people coming together to make the day truly memorable.

What a way to celebrate our finalists.

Recap TRADE MISSION D-5 — Build, Connect & Celebrate 💻🥂

Yesterday was one of those days that made us stop and appreciate the people at the heart of this journey.🥹

From the energy in the room at the Vibe Coding Workshop at Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship, to the warm conversations that continued throughout the day, it was beautiful to see our finalists so genuinely engaged, curious and most importantly having a good time.

Our Finalist met new people, exchanged ideas, shared stories and discovered perspectives from people they might never have crossed paths with otherwise.🫶🏻

And then, we ended the day with our Exclusive HEXPO VIP Dinner at Panama Dining Room, a beautiful evening filled with good food, meaningful conversations and even more connections.🍛🥗

Seeing our finalists surrounded by new people, sharing a laugh, exchanging stories and simply enjoying the moment was a reminder of what this experience is really about.

Day 4 — Thinking beyond what’s next. 🥂✨

Wednesday was a little different, a chance to pause, look further ahead and explore what becomes possible when we start thinking beyond the obvious.

Our founders dove into the Exponential Intelligence Workshop, opening up new ways of thinking about ideas, opportunities and the future they’re building towards.

Then, we took the journey beyond Melbourne with a Regional Victoria visit, stepping into a different side of Australia’s innovation landscape and discovering what’s happening beyond the city.

Different places,new perspectives and bigger possibilities!

Because sometimes, looking further is exactly what helps you see what’s next. 🌏

Recap D-3 TRADE MISSION — Time to find your voice. 🎤🔥

Yesterday was all about stepping up, speaking out and bringing each founder’s story to life.

From media training and pitch + interview practice to the Gen Next On Air Pitch HEAT, our founders put their ideas, stories and personalities into the spotlight.

The energy continued at the Innovation Centre Pitch Night at Tank Stream Labs, where ideas met the room, pitches got sharper and new conversations began.

There’s something exciting about watching people go from “this is what I’m building” to confidently saying “this is why it matters.”

More confidence. Sharper stories. Bigger conversations.

And honestly? We’re loving every minute of it. ⚡️

💥 D-2 TRADE MISSION — Melbourne, we’re getting into it. 🇦🇺👏🏻

Today felt like the moment the Trade Mission really started to come alive.🤩

Our founders stepped into Melbourne’s startup ecosystem, meeting new people, exchanging ideas, hearing different perspectives and getting a closer look at what’s happening across the city’s innovation scene.🌎✨

From the Human Library and speed networking with leaders, to conversations around the Digital Economy, the day was filled with moments to listen, share and connect.🫶🏻

And as the day wrapped up, the energy continued at Lofi Build Night bringing everyone together for a more relaxed evening of coworking, building and good conversations at Udom House. 💻✨

What stood out most was seeing how quickly the room started to feel connected people who had only just met a day ago, already sharing ideas, laughing together and learning from one another.

Day 2 done. And there’s so much more ahead. 🚀
