everything grows with a little rain & a little sun.

For as long as I can remember, it has always rained on my birthday. I could be anywhere in the world and without fail, rain would be there too. I grew up dreading august rain.
This year it stormed, of course. But this year instead of dread, august rain filled me with peace & joy. Perhaps being given a second chance at life changed my perspective because I simply could not feel anything but the goodness of God as it poured. Rain is a blessing, it symbolizes restoration & purification. Rain is life, it brings about new beginnings. And so this year, I welcomed the rain (& 28) with open arms & an overflowing heart.🤍 by @genessisedysa
