Here’s an illustration I made of my two daughters talking as they put their shoes on.

Some more work exploring Jett’s character… I wonder what breakfast would be like with Jett and Sam?!

Trying out some different drawings materials while staying here on this Norwegian island for a few days ☁️

I’ve been enjoying using my new @carandache neocolours and aquarelle pencils, taking time and noticing details. It was raining so much at one point that my drawing started to disappear 🫠 (scroll to pic 4!) so I came back into the studio and drew the view out to the north sea.

There are only 10 houses on this little island and fun things to play in, like this old boat (scroll to pic 5). I’m glad we brought our waterproofs!

This week I’m staying with family on a tiny island on the coast of Norway.

Today was raining and there were SOOO many midges but I was determined to finally try out this tiny water colour set and some new @carandache #neocolours

I was surprised how much I could capture in this miniature sketch book, I think it’s my new favourite ☀️

This is a very special gallery on a tiny Norwegian island! My partner’s uncle converted the space from an old boat house. It has been wonderful to use this lovely studio while on the island, especially as the weather is wild!

I really enjoyed bringing Jett to life with such helpful guidance on The Children Illustrators Playbook Course with @inkygoodness

This is Jett! (Scroll through to see behind the scenes sketches, it took a lot of work to get him looking like this ✨)

8 weeks ago I took a pause on my 365 daily drawings challenge as I began The Children Illustrators Playbook with @inkygoodness

For the last 8 weeks I’ve felt like I’ve been fixed on turbo boost in Mario Kart.

It hasn’t been easy juggling a full time design job, two young children and the amount of work required on this course! I had to cut out pretty much everything else, working almost every evening and weekend.

Now I’m back and ready to get into the daily drawings again, but first I want to introduce you to Jett! This is the main character I created during The Playbook course.

It was such a fantastic course and I’m excited to begin sharing some of my new work!
