- eng - Behind Startbahn in Genezarethkirche is a team that wants to rethink church and shape it together with others. - eng - What is Genezarethkirche? In the middle of Schillerkiez, a kind of church is taking shape that you do not find everywhere: open to different people, perspectives and questions. A place where spirituality, art and politics come together, and where church is not understood as a finished answer, but as a space for exchange, discussion and new ideas. At Genezarethkirche, you will find concerts, workshops, exhibitions, political conversations, spiritual formats and everything in between. We want to create a church that is part of the neighbourhood, does not shy away from social questions and welcomes people regardless of their background, faith, sexual orientation or way of life. Startbahn is the project that makes this vision visible and tangible at Genezarethkirche: an open, diverse and contemporary church in the heart of Berlin. Dear fellow humans, This Sunday we invite you to a service on the Love of Humanity. In an ever-complex and sometimes frightening world we invite you to a space of remembrance: ✨ Who has inspired you? Who has had a positive impact on how you move in the world? ✨ What part of the “Human Experience” do you particularly enjoy? Who has brought you closer to your values? ✨ How do you imagine aliens describing the unhinged & whimsical things people do? ✨ Can we find delight in the sometimes absurd character of the human experience? In this service we will fan the flames of hope by remembering the ignition of passion. And in light of the All Hallows Eve celebrations (Samhain/ All Saints/ Halloween) we invite you to join us in a whimsical exploration: 🧣If you feel inspired - dress as a person who has inspired you or add an element to your outfit that reminds you of them. A piece of jewelry, an outfit, a simple shawl or a complete costume! This could be a formative childhood figure or an U-Bahn acquaintances, fictional or non-fictional, passed on or living. And as always - this is an invitation, tailor to your needs ✨ We will journey together via song and meditation, embodied ritual and shared curiosity. This service is hosted by Antonia ( @antougla ) and the service will be guided by Abigail ( @abigail.willoughby ). ⏳2pm - 4pm ⛪️ Genezarethkirche Herfurthplatz Neukölln 🕯Welcome all. ~ In case you’d like to be part of the post-service hang out: bring a blanket, bring some snacks - the weather is looking good for some field fun. 🍁🍂🌾🐦‍⬛️ by @genezarethkirche
A gentle morning space to arrive, soften, and open together. We’ll take time to settle into the moment, to come a little closer to ourselves, and to make space for whatever the sacred, or simply life itself, may mean to each of us. There will be room for prayer, without needing to know how to pray or who to pray to. Prayer can take many forms: a longing, a question, a wish, a surrender, a quiet listening. A way of allowing what is asking for your attention to meet your will, your care, your desire. From there, we will sing together, letting our voices meet the room, meet one another, and become part of the moment as it is. Nothing to perform. Nothing to believe. Just a space to be present, to listen, to open, and to let something move through. All beings, all beliefs, all ways of relating to the sacred are welcome. This space will be held by Sanya Manzoor ( @sanyasa.sai.ra ) Thursday 29.10 8–9 am Genezarethkirche Suggested donation 5€–10€ Thank you so much to the wonderful @genezarethkirche for opening its doors and inviting in practices that cultivate connection and spiritual deepening. Come as you are. by @genezarethkirche

EN A whale in church? Absolutely 🐳 On 1 November, things are getting colourful at Genezarethkirche. Together we will explore the story of Jonah and the whale, not just by listening, but through different activity stations, a shared celebration and, of course, pizza at the end. We start at 10:30 am, with activities from 11 am. A morning for children, families and everyone who likes church a little less predictable. Come by and join us for a very colourful Sunday. #genezarethkirche #kirchekunterbunt #neukölln by @genezarethkirche
Come sing with us on November 1st 🌙 You are invited to join our Evening Chant to remember and celebrate those who have come before us. 🎑 The holiday of Samhain, or All Saints, Allerheiligen invites us to step over the threshold of the darker time of year and reconnect to our ancestors. It is the fourth time we celebrate this special moment at the Church of Interbeing, turning inward, opening a space for the grief and love we hold for those who are no longer with us physically on this Earth. ✨🌙 There will not be many words, but a carpet of songs and sounds carrying us through the darkness of the night... until we light a candle at the altar. Maybe you feel inspired to bring an object or photo for this altar to commemorate your loved ones? Re.Member Sunday, Nov 1st ✨ 7-9 pm Genezarethkirche, Berlin Guiding you on this journey across the threshold of darkness will be @theresa.leisgang, @ann.chris.a, André Vollrath, led by @antougla 💫 by @genezarethkirche
Dear fellow humans, join us for tomorrow‘s Interbeing service in which we will go on a journey of saying things out loud, expressing, sharing, singing, shouting, telling, talking, speaking. What is something you need help with expressing? What is something you really want to say out loud? What is a longing you want to shout into the world? What anger in you asks for another round of expression? What does your soul say? In the service we will go on an exploration of different layers of ourselves, spiritual, physical, emotional, personal, collective…, an exploration of saying things out loud in various ways and through various voices, an exploration of deeper listening and helping others translate and express what they want to say. This will be supported by our usual ingredients of movement, music, song, dance, meditative contemplation and dialogue, food and ritual moments, and physical touch in the degree of your preference. The service will be held by Nele and supported by wonderful Interbeings. ❤️‍🔥 Come with a readiness for hearing loud things, interwoven with quiet moments and listening. 🙏🏼 🕊 We begin at 1pm and finish at 3pm. 🚪 Doors lock at 1:15pm. ⛪️ in Genezarethkirche 🍂 Join the after-service picnic and hangout on the Feld, next to the Mobile Fahrradwerkstatt! Bring warm tea to share, mugs, food, blankets, drinks, extra clothing, games, instruments… by @genezarethkirche
