A side quest with a purpose. 🎨

For Casa Roca @casarocapalma , we went out into the streets of Palma with @inkterrorist to find pieces of local art that could become part of the hotel itself.

Artworks, walls, a lot of walking — and eventually, from the streets of Palma to the walls of Casa Roca.

I love projects like this: when a hotel doesn’t just decorate a space, but gives it a personality, while supporting the artists who make the city what it is.

This project is special to me, incredible @sbcreatesspaces spent around a decade researching the history and working to preserve the character of @casarocapalma — including the original Art Deco interiors, furniture, drawers and details, while bringing the building back into contemporary life.

Casa Roca has more than 175 years of history, and five generations of the Torrents Roca family once called this place their own. Susan has approached that history with an incredible amount of respect, working alongside the family to make sure that their story remains part of the building’s future.

I’ve watched Susan put an incredible amount of time, energy and love into Casa Roca, and I feel very lucky that I got to photograph it.

Susan, I’m so proud of you for having the vision, patience and sheer determination to give this remarkable piece of Palma another life. ❤️

I was so not ready to study French at the Sorbonne university in Paris and surely paid for it…

But after all, does the perfect moment really exist? How often are we actually ready for the move we know we need to make?

Embrace the pain and throw yourself in it! Go!

Why would we even bother learning languages?! 😅

Today, I’m discussing it with the very funny @afraa.climbs.

We met while studying French at the Sorbonne in Paris, and she always amazed me with her inhuman speed of progress. Here, she explains what has been driving her to learn languages so quickly.

Next time, we’ll discuss which methods help you make the fastest progress when learning a foreign language.

I’ve learned English accidentally

For many years now, learning, and especially learning languages, has been a huge part of my life. Not exactly by choice. 😂

Spain is the fifth country I’ve lived in for more than a year, so the question of integration and understanding the world around me has been following me ever since I left Russia in 2015.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a moment when I could say, “That’s it. I can relax now.”

This journey started with hitchhiking across Asia for a year without speaking English.

It turned out to be the beginning of everything.

It also taught me my first real lesson about learning a language.

What’s your first foreign language experience? 🌍

The road is iconic.
The light lasts only a few minutes.
The effort is real.

Sunrise at Formentor, Mallorca, with @osokinvictor pushing through one of the island’s most beautiful roads.

This is why I love photographing cycling—it’s never just about the bike. It’s about the landscape, the movement, and those moments when everything comes together.

I grew up in Siberia, where the sea existed mostly in books, maps, and dreams.

As a child, seeing the ocean felt almost impossible. Living next to one wasn’t even part of the fantasy.

Today I wake up every morning listening to the Mediterranean.

Funny how life works.

The ocean has become my place of calm when my mind is noisy, my reset button when I’m exhausted, and occasionally a reminder that nature is far bigger than any of our plans.

It gives me peace, perspective, and endless inspiration.

That’s why creating this film for World Oceans Day with @swimtrek , inspired by the message of @lewis.pugh , felt especially meaningful.

Lewis often says that change starts with individuals. His work reminds us that protecting the ocean isn’t somebody else’s responsibility—it’s ours.

The ocean has given me more than I ever imagined it could.

The least I can do is help tell its story.

If something this powerful and beautiful can save us on difficult days, perhaps we can do a little to help save it too.

🌊 Happy World Oceans Day.

🎥 Created for SwimTrek, featuring the message of Lewis Pugh and the Lewis Pugh Foundation.

One of my recent commercial projects.

I love creating films that make sport feel as vibey on screen as it does in real life.

This one was produced for @rueda_veloz

This house is full of air, softness, and quiet radiance.
Golden hour moves gently through its rooms, casting warmth on every surface.
It feels like standing inside a breeze.
Filming it was less about documenting a space—and more about capturing a mood.
Because light tells its own story ✨

✨ A slow summer evening. A table set under olive trees. And light that lingers like a memory.

In this sun-kissed casita, Samantha @almondgroveinteriors brings beauty to life—not just in walls and fabrics, but in the way a dinner feels.

Golden hour wraps around her as she sets the table with branches, candles, and quiet care.
Everything invites you in… to stay a little longer, to raise a glass, to let time soften.

Filming this was like filming a feeling.
That’s what I love most—catching those fleeting moments where life looks exactly like a dream.

✨ Details aren’t just decoration. They are the quiet language of care.

In this home, every surface speaks.
Every shadow, reflection, and texture has been thoughtfully chosen by the brilliant @almondgroveinteriors , whose eye for Mediterranean elegance transforms spaces into living stories.

It was a pleasure to film the little things that make this space feel so alive.
As a videographer, I love capturing not just the big picture—but the small touches that truly make a place feel like home.
