Some people come into our lives and give us opportunities, but a very few give us purpose.

For me, that person is Gadol Wilson @baqash

Back in 2003, you opened the door for Hayat Ahmed to represent Ethiopia at Miss World, beginning a journey that allowed Ethiopian beauty, intelligence and strength to be seen on the world stage. 👑

Then in 2013, you trusted me to become part of that journey. I could never have imagined then how much responsibility, sacrifice, pressure and strength Miss World Ethiopia organisation would require. But through it all, you guided me, believed in me and gave me reasons to keep going when giving up would have been easier.
You are one of the biggest reasons I never gave up, and you are a huge part of the reason we are where we are today.
Over the years, many people have come and gone along the way, but through every high and low, every struggle and every success, we stayed. We stayed together, we stayed committed, and we became stronger.
There were times when the struggle was real but we stayed committed simply to keep the dream alive. We were never here for what we could make from this industry, but for what we could give to it and what we could build for Ethiopia. 🇪🇹
From Hayat in 2003 to every queen who followed, your footprints will always be part of this story.
Thank you, Gash Gadol 😊 my papa, for opening the door, for trusting me to walk this journey beside you and, above all, for never giving up on our dream.
So many years later, we are still here. Still together. Stronger than ever. And we are only getting started.
Together, we will amaze the world more than ever.
