Had a good match today and was able to get 7th overall at Cactus USPSA local Match. Can't complain about that. Always work to do! taken in Ben Avery Shooting Facility by @gentrup.training

Did pretty good yesterday, stages were fun and the squad was solid. Really need to work on my mag changes though. For some reason when I dry fire I train dominant hand pressing the magazine release. When I do it for competition I tend to always use my support hand. I'll get there! Just frustrating.

My training session from yesterday felt good, I was trying to focus on my footwork and eventually working in some reloads. The first few times I ran it dry fire I noticed that my footwork made things chaotic, so I worked on keeping my pace and really focusing on the vision.

Once I started to feel good about that I started throwing in a reload. For some reason I dry fire strong hand reloads, but pretty consistently during live fire I would use my support hand to hit my mag release. So I wanted to try and get this fixed during live fire because that always seemed to be disruptive.

Always work to do.

I felt really good about my stage plan on this one and had nearly a clean run except I had one Mike on the last target :(

Always a great time @riopractical

This was a great run. It felt really good except for the Target that I forgot to shoot at....ugggghhhh.

Really enjoyed shooting at Phoenix Rod and Gun, will definitely be back.

This match I definitely feel like I was dragging. Maybe because it was like 112 0.o. by @gentrup.training

I never realized how tiring it can be to just really focus on visual training. Designated target drill, I honestly forgot the par time, think it was somewhere around 3 seconds. Also, proving to myself daily that I am capable of going faster.. I just need to trust my eyes and let my body move without pushing, which equates to unnecessary tension. by @gentrup.training

Not a bad run, still a B Class run. Really focused on getting my reloads!! I think if I can clean that up I can finally get my first A class...we shall see by @gentrup.training
