If someone were to simply ask the words to me “what does @camptekoa mean to you” i’m not quite sure where i’d begin, I have been going to camp since kindergarten and it has become a part of who I am now to this day! To say i love camp tekoa is a understatement, but this past weekend has moved my heart in a way that is simply untouchable, going to serve as the hands and feet of The Lord is something i’ll forever love doing! The call I never thought id receive, I received 4 years ago today saying I had lost my best friend, my biggest supporter and my biggest influencer. Something i never thought id have to do is navigate throughout life without you and figure out how to do things without saying i’ll call grandpa, but here i am trying my best. Grief is weird, some days go by and im okay and living my best life then other days come and i feel like ive done nothing but cry. i miss you more than anything in life. Living my life without you is something id never imagine but i’ve done it for 4 years now. Ever since you took your last breath i’ve lived out my best life in you’re legacy, you mean so so much to me and i’ll forever continue to live out you’re legacy until the day i meet you. You were supposed to watch me graduate, watch me go to college, watch me get married now i know you are watching from above and you couldn’t be more proud of me. I love you so much gramps. 03-05-22. 8 Years, 96 Months, 2,922 Days, 70,143 Hours, 416 Weeks since you took you’re very last breath on this earth. We miss you more and more each day. I never got the chance to get to know you super well because of cancer. It simply took over your body but you fought so so hard during those years. Everyone tells me i look and act like you and i would not trade it for the world. You are one of the biggest role models in my life even to this day. I strive to be half the woman you were. You loved others before your self. You loved Jesus more than anything in this world. I miss you more than anything Grandma Beaver. You meant the world to me and still do.
