Frames from Seoul.

I came to this city for one reason.

Two and a half years ago, I met two people in the Netherlands. We became friends, and after all this time, we decided to meet again, only this time on a different continent.

That reminded me of something I’ve come to believe: relationships are the deepest and most rewarding part of the human experience.

This city has a kind of magic that only reveals itself when you experience it firsthand. More than anything, it reinforced a lesson I’ll carry with me long after I leave:

The function of man is to live.

Life is such a fragile thing, so many ways to pursue it, everyone searching for “the right way”to do so. When in actuality the action of pursuing anything at all is “the right way.” For me I love exploring, so I’ll keep pursing that.

Lost in translation PT. 2

At 23 I traveled to Asia for over a month to find something I was missing.

I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but I’m pretty sure whatever it was I found it. I needed to get out of my environment for a while, to meet some new people and just completely dismantle this mindset I had been sitting in.

While in Tokyo it was the first time I felt I was getting back to myself, and I found pieces of myself I never knew existed before.

5 Lessons I learned at 22 years old.

1. Show kindness to strangers, you never know what someone else is going through.

2. Work hard to please God. - I believe God appreciates it when you work hard on yourself, when you show him how great his creation can be.

3. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Your word is everything, so treat it as such.

4. Make sure the people that you care about feel it. It’s easy to get caught in the flow of life, but always be sure to put your loved ones first and to let them know you’re there for them.

5. Have fun, make friends, make mistakes, and learn from them. The ultimate goal is to grow and to never stop growing.
