So excited for today’s launch of @ledgerbound on Steam! Very honored to be a member of this cast of heavy-hitters (seriously, this cast is STACKED - check out Ledgerbound’s page for the full list). You can hear me throughout various parts of the game, but my main character comes in very late in the narrative and…well…you’ll have to play it to find out more (#nospoilers). 😜👨🏻‍⚖️

Big thanks to everyone at #OmniMegaSuperCorp for having me, but especially @russnickel and @karlieangelis. And of course, thank you to all my friends at @blindlightofficial for introducing all of us! Appreciate you all! by @georgeackles

For your listening pleasure, I present, "Swim."

This is a song twenty years in the making. I came up with the opening melody many years ago when I was first delving into writing songs on piano and could never seem to find a melody to fit. Flash forward 10 years, and I found a melody, but couldn’t land on lyrics. Flash forward to the beginning of August, when the stars aligned and I was finally able to put all the pieces together.

This is a song about loss, and learning how to carry on. It’s also, in the words of Matt Haig, a song to remind me (and maybe you) that, “People you love never die.”

Thanks for listening.

Playing a bit of catch-up today, but I had to drop a quick post to celebrate the recent release of the demo for “Order of the Sinking Star” (@sinkingstargame) - a game 10 years in the making! Positively thrilled to be one of the very first voices you’ll hear in this incredibly cool mystery puzzler (with 1000+ puzzles to solve) from the creator of “Braid” & “The Witness.” There are a number of very talented folks involved in this one and I had a blast recording my character…who I won’t name for fear of spoiling plot points. ;)

Check out the demo on Steam for FREE now through June 22nd whenthey pull it down ahead of the release of the full game later this year! by @georgeackles

Hey folks -

Like so many of us, I’m feeling a huge amount of uncertainty in general, and financially in particular. So, on a recent sleepless evening, I put pen to paper and wrote a new song, “The House Always Wins.”

I hope you like it. And, if nothing else, I hope you know that none of us is in this alone and I'm certain that we will all be okay.

As some of you may know, back in 2019 we had ourselves a little pandemic and it lead to some pretty strange pandemictivities (a phrase I’ve just coined…my finger on the pulse, as usual).

Anyhoo, of all the insanity that I got up to during the pandemic, none was as much fun as helping to put together Crap.TV’s ground-breaking internet gameshow - “Is The Answer That You Wrote On Your Card The Same As The Answer That I Wrote On My Card?” The brainchild of @thevodoc and @shanesalk, we were able to get together virtually and create some really profound absurdity each week. It even led to us getting invited to various Comic Cons here in California to do the show live once the pandemic slowed down. Well, the show is no more…but the memories live on!

For your viewing pleasure, here is one of the “commercials” I put together for the show (I think I ended up doing around 40 or so). I’ve updated it for folks who saw the original airing and for everyone else, I hope it’s worth a chuckle. If you’d like to see more, head over to itatywoyctsatatiwomc.com where you can watch all the classic episodes of “Is the Answer…”

It’s launch day for Starfield’s TWO new DLC expansions/updates: Free Lanes and Terran Armada! I had the enormous pleasure of returning to the Settled Systems to serve as lead voice director on both projects (along with my exceptionally talented friend, @kingoftherhoads).

There is so much to do and see and experience - I hope old fans and new will have an absolute blast exploring all these new adventures.

As always, so many gifted actors (and writers, engineers, designers…the list goes on) I should mention here for all their hard work and passion helping bring these new worlds to life, but there’s one in particular I have to single out.

I got to spend several weeks during recording working with the truly lovely @thomasrobieofficial on a new character I think will be a fan-favorite…the killer robot companion, Delta! He’s absolutely brilliantly written and Thomas did such a great job with him, Delta is really something special.

As always, big thanks to the teams at @bethesdagamestudios and @blindlightofficial for having me; Starfield continues to be one of the projects I am most proud of and I’m exceptionally honored to be entrusted with so many fabulous characters and stories.

See you out there, fellow explorers!

(Definitely channeling my inner Martin Prince with that sign-off. 😜)

My newest song, “some time.”

It’s no secret that I’ve long been enamored with my dad’s lyric - “They suffer least who suffer what they choose.” (From the title track of his album “American Gothic.”)

I’ve explored this idea creatively a number of times and here I am again. I also want to highlight - that like my father - I often write from a fictional first person perspective. Out of respect for the people in my life past and present, I’m just dropping that reminder here.

If you’re still reading this - thanks for taking the time to listen. The song is over three minutes which means Instagram doesn’t like it, but I hope you do. If it strikes you as a sad song, I ask that you remember, “They suffer least who suffer what they choose.”

Okay, I’ll admit it.

Thanks largely to my daughter’s persistence, I am...a huge K Pop Demon Hunters fan. So, when I found out I was going to be directing @kevinwoo_official (the one and only Mystery Saja) as @deadbydaylight ‘s newest survivor Kwon Tae-young, to say I was excited is perhaps putting it mildly.

Kevin was - as you would expect - a total delight to work with. Even as I was asking him to scream his lungs out, he took it all in stride.

As a bonus, after years of acting and directing…I’ve finally managed to do something my daughter thinks is cool. FINALLY!!! I’ll be back to just “dad” tomorrow, so I’ll savor “cool dad” today. ;)

Thanks to the whole team at @behaviour_interactive and all my friends at @blindlightofficial for making it all possible!

It’s launch day for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties from @rggstudiowest! So thrilled to have had the chance to work on this game (and tickled that my performance opens the English language trailer).

Big thanks to @Sega, Ryu Ga Gotaku Studio, and the whole team at @sideglobal for bringing me on board - it was an absolute blast!

If you had George & Ginny releasing a hip hop single on your 2026 bingo card…congratulations!

Way back in 2023 when my daughter first started playing around on my keyboards, we recorded a song featuring a loop of her banging on a piano (very musically!) and laughing/singing. When I asked the then-three-year-old what our band should be called, she replied, “Stinky Glue & Dude.” And so…a legend was born.

Since then, she has grown to really love writing music with me and I’ll often let her play with different virtual instruments while I’m in the studio. Around the New Year, she plunked out a KILLER bass line and I knew that we would have to write a whole song around it. The result? “The School Family.” A track featuring vocals by yours truly (“Dude”) and a beat/backing vocals by Ginny (“Stinky Glue”). Did I think I was going to be recording a rap vocal this year? Not in a million years, but when your daughter has her heart set on releasing a hip hop track…you do what you must. 😬

So, please enjoy “The School Family” by Stinky Glue & Dude!
