A Seagull runs London! 🏃‍♂️🦅

A challenging day in the capital. Although it definitely wasn't the run I wanted, yesterday was still incredible. A absolutely gull-orious day. The cheers for the seagull were actually non stop, it was totally nuts!

By 10k, I realised that my head was getting absolutely cooked and my heart rate was through the roof. Fears of becoming a roasted gull, passing out and not finishing loomed large. By halfway, I had pretty much accepted defeat and switched to seagull survival mode. Just get to the finish line.

For almost three hours I was in strugglesvile, probably the longest time I've ever spent in the pain cave. The heat was just too much and the gull head had become a hot, heavy, sweaty, soggy mass.

Over an hour later than I would have hoped but, I got there in the end - 4 hours 41. Slow and sweaty. Not any records this time but who knows, this gull may fly again...

In total we've raised £2746 for @rspb 🙌💚💙 A massive thank you to everyone who has donated. The support has been fantastic. Thank you to everyone who shouted my name yesterday, my brilliant family and friends who were the best support crew, everyone who messaged support, all donators and the @rspb for letting me run a race I've wanted to do for over 15 years!

Thank you @londonmarathon 🙏

Oh and I got interviewed by the BBC by Nitro, got a high five from Gordon Ramsey and a selfie with Harry from the Traitors! 😅

Dip A Day in October Complete ✅️

31 days of back to back swims, from the gorgeous beaches of Cornwall to the stinky canals of Bristol and even the River Thames, it's been a fun but challenging month💙

Thank you for helping me reach my target and we've raise over £170 for @surfersagainstsewage 👏

There were several days I didnt fancy a swim but I never regretted a single one. You always feels better after a dip!

The fundraiser link is in the bio if you wanted to donate and hopefully a longer vlog about the challenge coming soon. Thanks again 💦

It's time to decide the Bird of the Year 2026! 🏆🐦

Returning for its second year, the RSPB's Bird of the Year competition is back. Five brilliant bird species are going to head-to-head, competing for your vote and the glory of being crowned 2026's Bird of the Year.

Here are this year's talon-ted contestants.

Last year's winner and defending champ, the bird that sleeps on the wing, the Swift

Part bird, part fish-seeking missile - The Gannet is making a splash in this year's competition.

A beautiful garden bird in serious decline, the Greenfinch has helped lead to nationwide changes in our bird feeding behaviours this year, but can it win the crown?

With iridescent plumage, a funky crest, an iconic call and brilliant acting abilities to lure predators away from nests, don't underestimate the Lapwing!

And finally the UK's rarest raptor, the Montagu's Harrier has only had three nests in the UK since 2025.

Who is your bird of the year?! 👑

You've got until November 22 to cast your vote!

Kestrel battling Storm Austen 🌬💨

@billy_heaney and I were treated to some excellent views of this kestrel on the weekend, remarkably hovering in place despite the 60mph winds.

We could barely hold our cameras steady, yet the kestrel could hold it's head perfectly still as it looked for food on the cliff faces below. An incredible skill 🙌

Storm surfers 🌬💨

Europe's largest sea bird, the northern gannet, enjoying the strong winds of Storm Austen this storm. Such incredibly cool birds that transform into missiles when they dive beneath the waves to catch a fishy 🐟

I feel very lucky to live somewhere that has gannets on the doorstep. Ill never get bored of watching them plummet into water.

Been spending the weekend with @billy_heaney looking for wildlife, and boy did we pick a challenging one to spend outside 🌬🌧💦

Eden Project Half Marathon ☀️🍂

Today was a wonderful and challenging day out in the October sunshine, and was a welcome reminder that I actually do love running.

13.1 hilly miles up and down the lanes surrounding the @edenprojectcornwall ending with a very memorable finish surrounded by those big beautiful biomes ✨️

I finished with a time of 1.51 ⏱️ which I'm pretty happy with but looking forward to an autumn of running and improving that next time!

Huge shout to the family support crews and the friends from @shakeoutrunclub out on the course cheering us on!

Crow, Rook, Raven?! 🤔

Can you identify these seven different species that I've photographed 📸

The corvid or crow family, are a common, clever and often overlooked group of birds that can cause some confusion.

Learn how to identify all the different species by sight and sound in my latest long form video - link in bio! 🖤

How many did you get right? by @georgecuckoo

Thoughts on the winners?! 🦔💷

And who would you be putting on the fifty?

The wildlife winners have been revealed and we now know which critters will be bestowed the honour of being slapped on our currency.

No major surprises here really, the fan favourites won but it seems the red fox and kingfisher have been snubbed so a marine species, the puffin, would feature. So the puffin lucks out despite receiving 60,000 less votes than the fox. Discuss!
