Method Man "Bring The Pain" released October 25, 1994 on Def Jam Records and produced by the RZA. This was the lead single to his debut album Tical. The first time I heard "Bring The Pain" was at the Limelight in Manhattan. I remember it clear as day. The crowd erupted when the Dj (I believe it was Riz) played the instant classic. It was the Friday right before Halloween and we were deep. At the time I hung out with a crew called the Umpas and also kept a close relationship with another squad who was known as the Morg. Both of us happened to be in the Limelight that night and I can remember the Morg most notably DESTO & SMALLS going crazy for "Bring The Pain". Meth was that dude and everyone's favorite Clan member. While the world was patiently waiting for Tical, "Bring The Pain" was the perfect record to lead the brigade. The 98 bpms kept the adrenaline flowing while Meths flawless flow and melodic cadence complemented the RZA's dark production. This was a street record / party record that managed to be radio friendly. This cassette I'm showcasing is a Mint - Near Mint sealed OG copy. Thanks for looking. @methodmanofficial @rza @wutangclan by @georgeevega
